  1. Times must be hard on @Thorfun ‘s build . No Chablis for you tonight !
  2. As @Big Jimbo basically tagged me …. I am a smart person who has ( is ) building their own abode . Equally I can’t answer any of your questions .
  3. What I really want with Tesla is use their predictive algorithm OR ignore it . Be nice to override it - or at least have it show you what it plans to do the next day . When it gets it right it’s great , but it cannot know if SWMBO will reenact a bake off episode or do 10 loads of washing - but I can .
  4. Now Tesla have replied …. We cannot change the Powerwall export, but the total export, so it should be to 8.6kW. oh ok ! But erm it’s 2 inverters - no understandy !!!!
  5. Tesla replied already ! Blaming me for telling them to set it to 8.6 - which I clearly didn’t ! Bit worrying that they don’t appear to check with DNO …. 🙄
  6. You made me bloody worry now ! I’ve email them again to change it to 5kw …. 🙄
  7. What confuses me is that in effect I have 2 inverters. So the SE/PV when exporting will go through the SE inverter which is capped at 3.68. When PW exports it naturally goes through it's own inverter ; so in effect neither know nor care about the other....?!?
  8. I'll leave it for now. AFAIK PW can now export at 8.6 Of course this wasn't what I asked ; I asked for 5. So if it blows up it's Tesla fault
  9. I emailed Tesla explaining that my PW limit is incorrect and that my total inc PV is 8.6 ; so PW needs to be 5Kw. Got a reply today that it's all be changed. Indeed it has. They've set my PW to be able to export at 8.6!!! Wonder what DNO will think if they knew ! 😮😎
  10. Yeah I know I could have 3 batteries. It’s splitting the pv load between them is my question .
  11. And it’s not (expletive deleted)ing random ! . I’m trying to save a tiny part of the planet using : limited knowledge technological restrictions dno restrictions limited knowledge oh and limited knowledge I do better on pornhub as I have more knowledge in that field
  12. Yeah - I’ve been on another forum ( not pornhub ) and apparently it is possible ; need to talk to my installer once they’ve calmed down …
  13. Ffs ! You’ve got ufh , boiler boxing , gobble doorbell to finish ! - I give you another proper job and you turn me away !
  14. Oh sorry @Nickfromwales you’ve obviously been cut out the loop on that one . As Netflix or man sold it to me … ”forget breaking bad “ ” Pocsters house of misery and torture “ ( a Netflix exclusive )
  15. So is it cheaper to install ?
  16. I will . Still waiting on that lucrative Netflix contract to come through
  17. Just remember that my job is to provide content - no matter how benign .
  18. I deliberately did this as a separate thread as it’s non specific to my setup and avoids the back story . Thought it was simpler this way
  19. Think now I want more PV - but have run out of roof space . Perhaps foldable PV that opens up on my front garden and folds away when it’s in the way . More PV , more storage , more export ( though I haven’t and can’t reach that yet ) . Sounds like a project for @Onoff
  20. Yeah ; it’s just how much can they be exceeded ??
  21. It’s been suggested on a better forum 😁; this is possible . Its unclear if it requires another inverter . Also potentially if both SE batteries were charging and Tesla battery charging and EV charging and house load might push me over my 80A fuse . So fuse requires an upgrade ? - that a DNO issue ??
  22. Oooooooo - apart from Google telling me it’s a “ North American “ thing ; no one knows ! 😎😁🧸
  23. My SE battery max charge rate is 5kwh . Is it possible to have 2 SE batteries that ‘share’ the pv input ? . So in theory ( with a large enough pv array ) could charge at 5kw each simultaneously? To achieve this is it an inverter issue/ config ; a “ how it’s all wired up “ issue , or not possible ?
  24. Actually witnessed 5.9kw today . Makes me wonder what the true ‘maximum ‘ is …
