  1. Tested this today, you're right @ProDave I'm going to pay part of the bill but less £400 meaning we still owe the £600 plus the £400 I'm going to take off the current bill. I think the £1000 should be enough for him to return to address the snags.
  2. Is this something I should be worried about? Checked the manual and this is the explanation. Is it to do with the legionnaire setting? Our solar isn't connected yet with the immersion PV diverter but the heat pump was commissioned so presume this should be working?
  3. Yes definitely, we did express concern with it as did our builder as there are plug sockets/electrics in there and the plumber just shrugged his shoulders and said it's as good as it gets.
  4. He's not been out favourite tradesman to be honest and actually generally comes recommended. But then that's because it's so difficult to get decent plumbers here and he probably is the best of a bad bunch, which in essence is what our builder said to us recently, it doesn't actually mean he is any good! The plus is that all our tradesmen do live within 5 miles of one another/us and in some respects this has worked well as they know each other and have worked well to coordinate and deal with things like solar, ASHP etc and if there are any issues I know where they all live and as we are a small area any issues will become known very quickly and reputation is valuable so I'm hoping once we have sorted any snags things will be fine. I maintain through this build tradesman have had an attitude of 'they are two women what can we get away with' which I know is something which was mentioned on a thread by @LSB
  5. All incredibly helpful I can basically outline the issues and send him the video too. Much appreciated.
  6. I'll have look tomorrow and report back. I can then put this into my email to him. I guess if he is that confident in his work he will let me get Quooker out, if he isn't he will reinstall it. As yet I've not paid the £4500 bill.
  7. No we aren't. @ProDave yes I think the install is shambolic which I've said in not so many words before but he has seemed reluctant to rectify it where if I go done the lines of 'if you're confident it isn't an issue with your install but an problem with the equipment then I'll get Quooker our but if they say it's your installation and we have to pay them then I'll be deducting it off the £600 we owe you'. @joe90 is correct our bill is £5100 but he has deducted £600 until the snagging is done.
  8. We have had a final invoice from the plumber of around £4500 which is the final invoice for the ASHP commissioning/final fitting and all plumbing. He has held off including a final £600 in light of a snagging list which I mentioned and will return the first week in January. So far we have: Quooker tap - the hose doesn't pull out and pressure is poor for filtered water. I think both is down to the fitting. Do we add this to our snagging? If he says this is the equipment then it's under warranty so we could get Quooker our but if they come out and find it's not the equipment and it's the crap installation (likely) they will charge £150 so I could give the plumber the choice but if Quooker then charge I'll bill the plumber. Ensuite toilet - isn't taking away tissue and ahem, other bodily solids. Probably needs adjusting cistern/levels. Ensuite damaged cabinet and wonky fitting - will insist the fitting is done again and get a quote from Magic Man to repair. Shower flipper hasn't been fitted properly. Couple of issues I just want to check with ASHP but more questions as oppose to snags. Do you think it's wise to pay the bill as it is and then hold back the final £600 as he suggests until we are content.
  9. So an update. The plumber came after I messaged him asking about him testing it as it was off and explained when I turned it on it was dripping although I wasn't sure where from. He tightened up the parts where the copper is, reset the dishwasher and success it's working. Re the Quooker, I haven't tackled the crap installation and am a bit unsure how to other than to say it's a crap installation because he is going to say it works! But to answer some questions. Yes our kitchen units have a plinth and when I took it off you could see pipes. There is a lot of pipes from the Quooker and Cube I actually can't remember. I don't recall it being there but can't say for sure as it was ex display but I can't see the showroom having it like that.
  10. Thanks @ProDave is that for sure it's a faulty hose/washer? If it is then of course it's not the plumber it's down to us and I accept that. I can't find the specific leak but when I turned the blue handle this is the area which was wet, if you zoom in you can see water. Disclaimer - I'm not a plumber.
  11. Turned it on and water dripping. Not sure you can see water from this pic... Turned it back off. Time to email the plumber.
  12. Well that throws out the that the plumber tested it all before he left then which he apparently did! So should I just turn it on?
  13. Eh? What's off? Do you mean the dishwasher water supply is off? Is this this thing? If the water is off for the dishwasher then that probably accounts for the error code! We can't get the integrated dishwasher out. We aren't strong enough and in the absence of a man we will be washing dishes ourselves! I've never owned a dishwasher before and was looking forward to not washing dishes..... ?
  14. I need to be explicit to him and outline all the issues and give him a chance to fix them or say we will get an independent appraisal of his work. I wanted to take the filter out and check it's not blocked but I don't know what I'm looking for. Is that in one of the pictures I posted??? We can't lift the integrated dishwasher out ourselves so I'm hoping it is something that is visible in the cupboard.
  15. He hasn't yet invoiced us for our work but I think that may be a wise decision before we mess with anything or indeed pay any bills. Rachel
  16. Can anyone advise what I should do to rectify the dishwasher error, if anything or should I just email the plumber and insist in the new year he comes back and does it
  17. I'd taken the Cube out which would normally be on left hand side but to me there is still plenty of room.
  18. Yep, we are too. He's saying it worked (the dishwasher) and I think making excuses basically saying it's not his problem and blaming the equipment. Do I have grounds to not pay a bill based on this? I can't say well Buildhub thinks your work is shoddy as do we and the installation isn't neat.... His whole unit isn't big enough if he had installed it correctly and made the installation neat to me it wouldn't be an issue.
  19. We have spent 48 hours in the house and our plumbing is concerning us. Yesterday we have come to use our dishwasher and it showed up with an error. The manual suggests this issue. The plumber is suggesting he tested it on a rinse cycle and it was fine. Granted the dishwasher did come from an ex display so had some use but it worked. When I messaged him he said "Yes did a full rinse cycle made sure it pumped out etc, no error code, check for leak in cupboard, failing that maybe a problem with the unit itself......" And "also for your info, last 4 installs of similar set up we had much bigger unit to fit it all in, and it did not come pre made up!! In my professional opinion it requires more space for this set up". Now the kitchen place had the exact same set up with the Quooker and dishwasher (which was functional) and managed to fit everything in their 600mm unit plus some cleaning products. I'm not sure what I'm looking for because everything is a mess. Can anyone help identify what I should do, if anything. He's indicating it's basically our problem. I've taken the Cube out and this is what we have. We also noticed in our utility that the washing machine and pipework all seems to be a bit of a mess as well. Perhaps I'm being over dramatic. You know we had issues with the Quooker tap previously leaking and since have advertised the copper pipe working was for support which looks a bit of a bodge and could be easily knocked. Still have issues where hose won't pull out. This is maximum we can pull it out but he has point blank refused to sort this basically saying it's as "good as it gets". Pressure for cold and sparking water is very low as is the hot water (via Quooker/Cube). We have had ongoing issues with leaks or things not quite right which have been rectified in the past week but now, whilst we await his bill we just need to know if we should be calling him back, telling him we aren't paying his bill til we are happy or getting someone else to do it. His excuse for anything is that it isn't right, wasn't new or didn't have instructions. We both have that little faith in his work we don't want him back but neither are we going to pay a bill and another bill from another plumber if he should be back to put it right. ???
  20. I've been with them since 2019 and had no issues but then I submit meter readings online.
  21. Done! Factory reset and literally turned it off by taking fuse out and completely.
  22. Yep. I'm going to try something else just had an epiphany.
  23. I saw this but the step 6 is problematic. The only key button is the childlock so all this does is turn the childlock on and then when you turn it back on you have to hold it down to turn the childlock off....
  24. Help! Our ovens are stuck in Demo mode! The manual suggests there is a turn off demo mode in settings but there isn't anything in settings that mentions demo mode and we can't get it off and basically have no ovens to cook anything in! I spent the whole night trawling through manuals and Google and can't find the answer and Siemens isn't contactable til Monday.
