  1. Well this is what my mum thought it was ? The heating went on today!!!! That 400 litre tank is enormous! I hope it pays off with the solar immersion. Hopefully someone is going to show us how the hell it all works!
  2. I don't expect him to run around, it was more his attitude to be honest and as if he was trying to criticise everything in front of the other guys. When I got straight onto the phone to Quooker there and then he seemed to shut up a bit. My wife works on the railway and is used to working with guys and described the term as him d**k swinging in front of the other trades. Builder has said to us all along if he wasn't so good at what he does he wouldn't use him because he can behave like a stroppy teenager.
  3. Yes we are going to take it off tomorrow before he gets to site. I'd wrap the bow tightly around his neck if I saw him.
  4. I've just managed to get a matching freestanding Hudson Reed tap and basin tap new and boxed for less than £100 which I'm collecting tomorrow from somewhere local. It will probably be far less hassle than driving round to try and sort the freestanding tap and get the missing bits for the Roper Rhodes under pressure! I'll get them taken off and try and figure it all out and sell them on eBay. The freestanding tap I haggled in with the bath so it was always going to be a punt. Quooker can sort out a washer pack for the Cube and Conbi (just need them to call them to order) and I then need one of these the plumber has said https://www.quooker.co.uk/drill-bit-set-31-024-00-9.html
  5. No, unfortunately not. I may just have to buy another. Thanks for the RR info I'll check them out. Now to sort the Quooker tap. Need all replacement washers for the Cube and Combi.
  6. We figured out the grand sum of what's missing on the floor standing tap.
  7. See now that's what I said I thought he meant but apparently not it's something else. I'm just going to order a new tap. I wasn't necessarily fussed about the Roper Rhodes one so I'll just get them to remove it and flog it and order a Bristan one or similar.
  8. He was just going off site. He has another job next week and we are stuck with him as everything is really time precious at the moment. His attitude is you ordered the ex display stuff and it isn't right so you sort it. I guess it is my problem but he hasn't explained what I need to order. If anyone can help that would be great short of ordering two new taps.
  9. He spat his dummy out as the Quooker tap was missing the washers (they must have fell off so I need to ring Quooker and order a new set of washers). He was ranting about ex display items. I don't know whether to just order new taps completely he's a d*ck.
  10. Downside of our ex display bathroom is that the plumber has discovered some bits missing. First off the Ropher Rhodes tap. I'm not entirely sure what's missing can anyone help from these pics to identify what it is I'm missing. Secondly our free standing bath tap. This seems to be more of an issue and I think we may need to get a replacement as I think it's actually missing part of the fixing. If anyone can urgently help identify what to need to order otherwise it may be an urgent replacement order for different taps! Thanks
  11. Thanks we will go for this then. I confess I've not really heard of some of the other brands.
  12. Ok, so we have decided to go for a full height freezer. I don't particularly have any preference for this but it must be frost free. We can't afford Siemens but would like a half decent brand. Ideally no more than £450. Our choices so far seem to be either: Bush £319 Electra £369 Candy around £420 Hisense £449 And then a bit more expensive is Beko at £499 Is the Hisense the better one? Looking at reviews it seems the Hisense and Beko seem to be rated far better.
  13. I believe it is yes. None I tried earlier you can hook them off and they appear to be the same but it's only the outside ones that are missing. I think we put them somewhere for safe keeping incase they fell off and well.....?
  14. If you come across two of these baskets will you let me know? We seem to have lost the two outside onee! We have the unit and the inside ones but we can't for the life of us locate the other two. They will probably turn up in about 6 months packed away somewhere but in the meantime we could really do with them. They just hook on.....
  15. I just looked - eye watering cost!!!
  16. Nothing else I've seen unfortunately. We only found the colinder by accident as the company we got it off ex display had put it into the drawers thinking it was some kind of cutlery divider ?
  17. Ah, I'd just posted the update above Here you go https://www.miele.co.uk/c/miele-outlet-abingdon-1409.htm Flawed system though. There is no online ordering. There is no rhyme or reason to when it's updated. Sometimes it's daily sometimes it can go almost a week with no updates. You have to phone up to order and each time I've phoned it's been a minimum of an hour in the queue and even then you don't know if the item on the list will still be in stock as the list isn't always up to date!
  18. It's on Miele website direct. Hang on I'll find the link. Here you go https://www.miele.co.uk/c/miele-outlet-abingdon-1409.htm Flawed system though. There is no online ordering. There is no rhyme or reason to when it's updated. Sometimes it's daily sometimes it can go almost a week with no updates. On a separate note if anyone's after a steam oven this just showed up on my local marketplace. Neff steam oven brand new.
  19. We got a built in Miele coffee machine from there for £500, then we bought our ex display kitchen with Siemens appliances a week later and managed to flog the Miele one for double than what we bought it for. Got our washing machine from there a few weeks ago for £404. Cheapest anywhere else £649. That said I've pretty much been checking the Miele outlet daily for the past 6 months!
  20. Our ex display kitchen came with a Siemens fridge. Next door to this we have a unit to match with two doors to house a freezer which we purchased extra. Rather than join the doors up inside and make it one (those clip things that go inside so two doors open as one) we were just thinking of having a freezer the same size as the fridge because the ones that go under the fridge or three drawer ones are too small and the tall ones are a bit too big. I think this the ones they are around 1220mm in height like this one https://longeatonappliances.co.uk/cda-fw582.html Trouble is there seems to be only a handful of built in freezers this size which seem quite expensive (for a brand like AEG/Jeff) and I've never heard of CDA, not to mention it is manual defrost. So, do I just get a full size one, a decent brand and fill any space with frozen mojitos and ice cream or get the 5 drawer one which is manual defrost and not a great make?
  21. We have both! The wife has always had a coffee machine (freestanding) including bean to cup ones and I think it got more use than the kettle (I don't like coffee but I did like the frothy milk function). I do enjoy cooking at eat a lot of food steamed so I should make good use of the oven!
  22. Isn't quite finished being fitted yet. It's a Franke one.
  23. Our showroom ex display kitchen came with a Siemens steam oven and a 'normal' I've too. I can't wait to use the steam oven.
  24. Thanks. Will do we don't have any light fittings yet anyway - that may be a while! I can't actually find MK screwless dimmers so don't think they do this in their range ......
