  1. Does that not depend on whether there is a servitude noted in the deeds? I have a servitude in my deeds for something different and it seems that once it’s there you are stuck with it, although I imagine it’s unlikely that an electricity company will have servitude rights for every single pole on every single property. Don’t they have to pay rent / compensation for poles or wires going over someone’s land too?
  2. I like fire too!! ???
  3. Maybe try Neverending Story?
  4. Not done the dye thing yet as still trying to pluck out the stray grey ones rather than resort to dye
  5. I love rainfall showers but have the dual ones as on occasion I just want a quick shower without washing my hair and it’s much easier to do that with a normal shower head that’s not raining down on top of your head.
  6. Worth a shot I reckon if you can wait a bit for the judgment to be decided, and sounds like the company will profit from you twice with their current 'offer'. There must be about a 50% mark up on the cost price surely, maybe more?
  7. Ouch! You going to go for that? Wonder if you can influence someone on here to build their house with walk on glass in the 'perfect' size. Failing that there's always fleabay, gumtree, fakebook etc I guess .....
  8. It wasn't supposed to be injected insulation but once the house was built and it was missing that was the only option they had.
  9. Maybe it's browser specific then? I can only see 1 of the ones you have posted (a black outline of a house) and then 2 squares. Off to try Firefox ...... Edit - Yep, can see all 3 in Firefox but the house is still black.
  10. That is bloody indistinguishable on the laptop as it’s soooo small and doesn’t work well in black . I had to swap to the mobile to see what it was! You could always go for something more traditional ? ? ?⛓️? (I don’t suppose any of those will work on the laptop!).
  11. The mobile versions are in colour but they are not all compatible between the laptop and mobile so you often get squares where they aren't. I agree, on the laptop they are grim, but the old faithful coloured ones should be right at the bottom if you scroll down.
  12. True! But they generally overegg things, not undersell them!
  13. PS the old 'default' emojis are right down at the very bottom. @PeterW can those be moved up to the top, or are the endless crap ones a new feature?
  14. I hear they sell masks like this emoji in the ‘adult shop’
  15. that’ll teach me to scan read, but I was nosy and looked at the estate agent site and it says outline planning
  16. When we moved into our previous house in Kent (a new house built by Redrow) we were handed a number of certificates and guarantees for things such as the warranty, windows etc. One of the certificates was for the cavity wall insulation. Once we'd moved in hubby installed an outside tap and remarked that he hadn't come across any insulation when doing so. Later on he installed a vented tumble dryer on a different wall. Still no insulation could be seen so we complained to Redrow who said that the insulation had 'settled' and we were just seeing void pockets. Complained again so they sent a surveyor round who drilled holes into every external wall. No insulation anywhere so they had to send someone to pump it in. Told all our neighbours who checked theirs and none at all in the entire road. At least with a self build you know what you are getting as you put it there yourself!
  17. Maybe they've only got outline planning permission / planning permission in principle?
  18. Nothing ventured ..... Get your marketing hat on and explain the challenges of selling an unserviced plot compared to one with at least a power connection sorted. Also ask the estate agent for info in relation to prices / time to make a sale for serviced vs unserviced plots.
  19. F**k the avatar, what’s the news on windowgate?
  20. Could you go to the current owner of the plots and strike some sort of deal for the 'share'?
  21. I used to make my hubby change his clothes if we went together. If he was on his own he didn’t bother ?
  22. Not sure if this is helpful (came up in a Safari search) but the narrative notes the jetting resistance you note above. http://sfa.wrcplc.co.uk/Data/Sites/4/GalleryImages/WebImages/pdfs/documents/sfa6pipematerialstablmarch09.pdf
  23. Thanks! Little Willy staying for a month then? ?
  24. You going to put a chip in the fox? ?
