Utility room: water and electricity together?

I've been updating the plans for the downstairs bathroom and utility rooms and realised I am not sure whether it is allowed to put a sink and a consumer unit in the same room. A couple of external links don't say it's not allowed but would be useful to know for sure now to avoid expensive mistakes.

As long as the consumer unit is not right behind the sink there is no problem.

My consumer unit is in a plant cupboard in my downstairs cloakroom, BCO didn’t query it.

Would there be some kind of regs about distance @ProDave,like you can’t have a hand in the sink and touch the consumer unit.

Ive been working on some houses with a loo under the stairs hand basin as you go in the door 

Consumer unit directly above Say 800

@nodyes, CU above a loo is one of the examples I saw mentioned on electricians forum when searching for it.

I think there is a minimum distance between kitchen sink and power socket?

300mm horizontally is the recommendation but it’s not a regulation.
