Pocster
So ! As I think ahead for our bathroom- the old problem of ‘towel storage ‘ comes up . They are relatively big and bulky . We won’t really have room for a corner unit ; so ..... https://www.dolle-uk.co.uk/smart-storage-ceiling-system-beam-it-up/

Onoff
Really screwed up with the new bathroom storage wise I think. Just got the big cupboard. Would have liked some inset towel shelves for effect. Hindsight etc!

Don't want towels over the wc and impractical in the wet room corner: White painted wall too high? No good on this wall: Over the bath maybe?
ProDave
We keep one set of spare towels in the vanity unit under the basin. Everything else will get stored in the airing cupboard, when I get around to building it. That has always been where we keep towels etc.

That'll be fun as it's a solid brick wall. Maybe when I gut the room next door!

Nick1c
A bit late now, but when we had our new bathroom put in at our current house we brought the stud work for the wall hung toilet forward a little & used the whole of the wall, excluding the cistern area, for cupboards.
Onoff
I'm convincing myself that minimalist is the way to go and that the cupboard will provide ample storage! The only thing is SWMBO is on about having a dirty linen bin in there. Seems a bit wrong to store fresh towels in there too.

That looks well done. How did you construct the cupboards? And pre-cut system? I am looking for storage ideas for the two bathrooms in my forthcoming build.
Nick1c
The builders put it together to our design. It's made of MDF with a rolled paint finish, Blum hinges & push catches, ours is 350mm deep. I like the clean looks & it gives a lot of storage for relatively little loss of useful space on the shower room. It has a 1400mm shower tray, basin & toilet in it, it feels about the right amount of space - plenty of room to move, but not pointlessly extravagant. Still need to sort out the mirror!

We had kitchen units in the bathroom when I was growing up and they lasted 25 years and were still there when we left. Is a bathroom really much less humid than a normal small kitchen? Or you could use wooden kitchen unit doors on stud, which should last OK. Anyhoo, let us know if it worked in 10 years ?.
