TF company crane included but need road plate and fall arrest/soft landing system

Hi all, any idea where I can hire 4no 2400x1200 road plate to provide outrigger support?

 

Also need a fall arrest/soft landing system?

Any good plant hire company will have the road plates

get a price, and then ask the cranehire co for a price to supply as they should be dealing in this sort of thing every day. 

 

Fall arrest, just google them.

Is that a soft landing for the whole crane when it topples over?

We had this from the B.B. company 

Crane included but not plates 

They quoted £300 for plates 

I got them droped off for £60 from a local plant hire 

But needed a mini digger on site to pull them off and back on the following day

Well the TF co are kindly hiring bean bags FOC but delivery £200/each way!

 

Still working on plates.

If you have space and one of the TF crew can drive a telehandler this may prove more useful and cheaper.

I had this requirement for "fall bags"  from.our supplier in the documentation  (though in our case I also had to pay for the crane, a generator etc. The crane came with its own outrigger plates, which I'd totally expect. ) - I drew a blank on where to hire the fall bags and rang the  (SIPs) supplier for advice who said .... "they are for when we're unloading the wagon and we normally dont bother with them" !  I actually felt that as the guys employers *they* should be supplying what is in effect PPE really anyway. Either way, no one was daft enough to fall off the lorry on the day.
