SteamyTea Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 This pop up is really annoying. I think it is something to do with Firefox, but not sure. Question is, how do I stop it happening. I have told it to never notify me, it still happened. So I googled it and then edited some of Firefox's settings, and it still does it. It could be that I clear history, cache and only accept cookies occationally, or it could be that the site is trying to give me something I don't want. Anyone got any ideas?
DavidFrancis Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 (edited) I'm using Firefox on Windows 7 and don't get it. Just in case you've overlooked the bleeding obvious (which I often do), have you tried setting the drop-down in that pop-up/window? Edited July 16, 2016 by DavidFrancis
SteamyTea Posted July 16, 2016 Author Posted July 16, 2016 Yes, have to set it to 'never again' or whatever it is. Still comes up every time I log in.

ToughButterCup Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 Disable notifications in the preferences AND THEN restart.

Now I went to my setting, notifications where already disabled, but logged out and back in and it did not happen. Strange. Edited July 16, 2016 by SteamyTea
SteamyTea Posted July 17, 2016 Author Posted July 17, 2016 Yes, as my Northern Grandfather used to say 'you got the sticky end of the stick'.
