just wondering if anyone has any thoughts as to whether these are any good

Not going to get any cheeper than that, would be good if someone knows the quality.

well they did get cheaper, went to half price! so i went to all the local aldi and bought all i could find. ended up with 80 double sockets ?  75p per double socket, result.

Any make on them? Are they double pole?

I would say that sockets from established makers are so cheap that the saving is not that significant compared to eg the ability to match after.

 

eg Hager double pole switched double sockets are around £2 with a quick search.

 

Unless, I suppose, you buy 20 years’ supply ?.

that's them, with three years warranty as well due to aldi.

Single or double pole out of interest?

 

Not saying it'll be an issue but poorer quality sockets can sometimes break down, crack and show brown marks if running hot i.e with a couple of heavy loads plugged in.

 

But then saying that even the better known makes can be overloaded!

don't see the problem, should be able to clean the graffiti off with a suitable solvent.

and a bit of tippex for those smoke stains.  You really should try and give up on that dirty habit @Onoff!!
