The internet seems to throw up a lot of options for Velux window suppliers. Are there any particular ones that people might recommend?

Doesn’t matter where you buy them from, more important is who fits them. It’s just a case of trawling the net to find the best price, delivered, which maybe a significant factor where you are! Might be worth ringing your builder merchants as well as their best prices won’t be on the web.

Yeah, there won’t be much variation in price and they’ll probably be shipped direct from Velux (or to local merchants and then they’ll deliver locally). In our case a local merchant was equal price and delivery was free.

We found massive variation in price when ordering our flat roof velux roof lights a few years ago. 

 

Best prices came from online suppliers. You need to call to get a quote when making a bulk order.

i got my velux integras from Roof Giant. Seemed to be the best price after many hours trawling the interweb.

I had a consultation/planning session with Velux directly (its a free service) and they produced a detailed quote including all part numbers for the various insulation and flashing kits as well as links to installation instructions.

The list price was eye watering and they advised me to take the quote to my preferred supplier who would offer discount it. My local builders merchant beat all the internet prices by a good margin.

You might want to ask the builders merchants for a price on the Keylite equivalent, probably quite a bit cheaper and still good quality.

Roof Giant was who I used and had best prices. They all order direct from Velux so delivery wise it’s no different. 
 

Get the blinds from elsewhere though, others sell them at a huge discount

Second this. Prefinished premium conservation automated triple Keylite via Huws Gray was less than 1/3 my quoted Velux equivalent…

The best price I could find for two big solar veluxes recently was roofingoutlet.co.uk (when factoring in the flashing kit and vapour control membrane). They came direct from Velux though.
