Hi All - I'm preparing for the next part of my refurb which is making good the upstars bathroom and am looking for ideas for how to build a super easy and cheap temporary shower cubicle in the old kitchen space downstairs. Has anyone done anything like this?  I remember seeing little cubicles at the gym that were brought in when they were re-doing it up but can't seem to find anything like it for a reasonable price.

I have mains water and waste I can tap into in the kitchen and will have gotten rid of any local electrics so as not to have any zoning issues.

Thanks, Paul

Apologies. Completely forgot I had posted this one. I was quite happy to use a tent outside but the rest of the fam gave that hard no. I've cleared out my old kitchen now so have a space in the corner that I can break out hot and cold. It will be a bit of a challenge getting the water out with the waste quite high up and the ceiling really low. Think I'll have a go at building a frame and get some hygene board silconed together with a camping shower base. Maybe a pump of some kind to push the water out.

I've did similar. Bbattery powered camping shower + shower tent + paddling pool + drill pump. It gave a pretty good shower.

To close this off thought I'd share the frankensteins monster that is my new shower for the next couple of months.  Just hoping my custom non standard waste has enough silicone rammed in to stop it leaking.

Looks like a finished refurb in an Albanian prison, fair play to ya.

I may chuck it on the Screwfix forum and tell them I’ve fitted this, but the clients won’t pay. lol.

I bet 80% of them would bite :D

Excellent job (assuming the intention is to provide motivation to get on with the main job asap). Curtain on three sides must make it extra enjoyable to use!

I stayed in The Falmouth Hotel a good few years back, and the shower curtain over the bath, in the multi coloured suite, looked like Zoro had been using it for target practice.

Stayed in a Greene King hotel (?) in Halstead, and as someone had run out of loo roll, and the shower curtain was right there……. Yup. :/

Staff member apologised to my mate, and he said she took that one and swapped it into another occupied room, giving him their curtain…….saying they had no spares and no facilities on site to clean it. 💩🤢

30 years ago on a camping trip the camp site facilities were in a VERY old static caravan that was on the verge of collapse.  The floor sloped a great deal so the shower tray was up on bricks at one end to keep it something close to level.  This one would have been luxury by comparison.
