Was touch clammy on the leak spots this morning . So decided to tip carefully 2 watering cans of water over just the roof seams . Hour later no evidence of a drip .

Hosed just the bottom 25cm of the render - so testing that stone joint and the roof seams again . Hour later no evidence of additional water ingress ….

Going to try hosing the entire corner but not over the coping stone . Potentially as the coping stone is twice weathered water could run off in both directions .

Hmmmmm

Some gaps . So I guess in theory when I hose the wall and coping stone it could run down this side - track under pass the drip channel . There are gaps - so will mix some cement and fill them

Really want a better way to finish that edge - some form of flashing ???

& it'll all disappear into the shadows.

Bone dry today as expected inside .

Just hosed the entire corner making sure it spills over the coping stone .

Will wait 10 mins . Check inside . If dry will repeat .

Was dry so repeated the soaking . Problem is just sweat on my fingers makes it tricky !

Will check inside in 10 mins

Stick your hand in a bag of flour. Shake off, then stick your finger in the hole. The flour will pick up any moisture and show easily.

Just the one I remember - I'm sure it involved talc rather than flour :D

@SteamyTea I think that Vim might be a bit gritty, and if you have a bag of cocaine big enough to stick your hand in, it's doubtful that you care about trying to find a small leak.

Although depending on your supply, the cocaine could well have quite a high content of Vim in it anyway.

Hosed the corner this morning. Made the tinniest damp area appear . So small it didn’t even form a droplet of water . So a bit more investigation required .

Been hosing that corner like it’s the end of the world . Many times a day since Friday . Yet to reproduce any leak at all ! . Not 100% convinced yet but …… getting there ……

Won't be long till we have a day of drizzle. That will make your hole moist.

Bummer ! Still leaks ! Considerably less though . That corner is bone dry so not there .

i did notice this though …

when the sun comes and it’s dry going to hose just that bit

Clearly any of that wall is an issue as it sits on the slab . So I’ll fill more of those gaps but that doesn’t mean a hairline gap couldn’t open up . Might put a line of ct1 right in that edge I.e where the coping stone meets the wall stone . Over the entire wall , both sides .Think I’ll need to inspect the wall every year for any vulnerabilities….

Have you looked at YouTube for possible solutions for leak tracking like this?

Otherwise a very hot day, try and let everything warm up, then cold cold water and a thermal camera?? Random idea!

It’s all dried out . So , as it’s sunny decided to shower a section a day with the hose for 2 minutes .

1st section done , now wait …

No leak on that section . So will do the wall part before that I.e roughly 3 coping stones worth of. Work my way back to my corner . Then if still no leak work across that part of front wall towards the gate . I hose each section for 2 minutes ….

You might find 2 minutes is not enough to get a small amount of water to get where you want it, maybe 10 min on spray. Try to replicate rain as splash zone will be included.

I am sure you will get this eventually.
