DC5
Hi folks, we are on a strict budget for landscaping and have quite a large area to beat into some sort of lawn. Turfing is out so I plan to seed instead. We have good free draining soil as the land was fields, however we are quite exposed to weather and in central Scotland. can anyone provide seed / grass recommendations please as I am totally clueless on this! Any help appreciated thanks.
Jenki
I used Grass seed store, you can get bulk qty for acres if needed. You can get some wild flower, clover options. All good for Bees and you don't mow some through summer which has to be as bonus 😉

LiamJones
If you want the best of the best, have a look at the BSPB turfgrass seed 2024 pdf it rates all the top grass seeds. You can then use this information to compare blends available on the market. Back in 2019 I used this information to decide on Barenbrug RPR sport. This was used in some premier league stadiums. https://www.thelawnforum.com/ Is a great resource
