CotswoldDoItUpper
Comical! What’s the ‘standard’ space required in front of a pan? I thought it was about 600mm?

No such requirement unless it is the accessible WC under Part M of building regs where it applies. And that’s not the worst I have seen…
ProDave
Scotland has a requirement for "activity spaces" and that would fail. The ones that bug me are public loo cubicles, more likely in pubs etc where the door swings in and you almost have to stand on the pan to shut the door it swings that close to the pan. Big Jimbo
To be fair, i would rather have that as a downstairs loo, than no loo downstairs. I appreciate that it wouldnt meet current regs for accessibility.
ToughButterCup
Needs a pair of well padded grab-handles on the back of the door, just above knee height. I mean, its a double-activity facility: puke and strain all at once. Edited February 28, 2022 by ToughButterCup

Hence the high gloss door finish.
