Is there a recommended overhand for window cills from a render or cladded façade?

I want to size up window cills to have a minimum 30mm rebate into the cavity.

Cavity rebate - 30mm

Block - 100mm

Render - 20mm

Overhang - ?

No minimum, you just need to make sure the drip channel is clear of the render or cladding to allow drips to fall

I like to see 70 mil past the block

leaving 35 after plastering

Mine have 150 cill on a 70mm profile and front of cill is about flush with brickwork. I have two course of plinth brick below. You know the 30mm cavity overhang is a minimum? Next size up is a 180 cill? Might be safer with that.

Yep, thanks for checking.

I think 180cm would be the minimum, though a 210cm maybe too big on the render finish

I will probably the 210cm on two windows one facades with timber cladding, as rather than 20mm render it's about 45mm or cladding
