J_Green
We are in the very way stages of costings etc for our self build down in Cornwall. I would like to go for an inframe kitchen in the style of Neptune, Devol etc. Reading through these threads I have been put off DIY kitchens and instead are considering Units Online or Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch. Just wondering if anyone has used either of these or has any other suggestions?
Big Jimbo
I frame will cost you more. For my daughters place, because of budget I designed a door that had the look of in frame, but was just a normal door. I personally think it gave a decent look. LA3222
We have gone for an in frame kitchen from Kitchensfordiy: www.kitchensfordiy.com Not cheap, but looks really nice - on the drawings? Hopefully will look as good when fitted next year!
CC45
We've had no issues with DIY kitchens. When you can, go to their showroom. They are pretty well built units.
ProDave
For the benefit of someone like me that has never heard of them, can someone post an example of what is meant by an "In Frame" kitchen? 1
wozza
It means that the door or drawer etc fits into the opening not against it. Edited November 29, 2020 by wozza
joe90
I have only fitted one “in frame kitchen “ (amongst many) and although it looked good the customer wished they had not chosen it after a while, they frames make using the cupboards less user friendly.
