iSelfBuild
Just had a price for 25mm insulated plasterboard @ £27.00 a sheet Is there any reason why we can't just fix 25mm Recitcel to our rafters, tape all the joints with foil tape and then screw the plasterboard through the insulation onto the rafters? Will BC accept that or is there a condensation risk because it's not bonded seamlessly? There is 100mm Recitcel between the rafters as well. jamiehamy
Is the insulated plasterboard the vcl? If not, no reason at all.
Russell griffiths
The way you are proposing looks better to me, you are taping all the joints then covering and going to tape and joint or skim the plasterboard. I can never understand how they think insulated plasterboard is any good, how do you join all the foil faces together.?

nod
You do that The reason why it’s not usually done that way is the ceilings can finish quite Wayney You will also get a lot of screw pops when the heating goes on

MikeGrahamT21
I always use these for insulation https://www.secondsandco.co.uk/ You'll be able to get phenolic boards probably cheaper than the PIR you've got a price for, and they're always in good condition i've found
