Vintage depocsterer that.

Crying out for a bath in hot citric acid to bring it back to it's former glory.

Seriously they look like gas burner pliers but never seen them with 3 "holes".

Could be. My dad was a plumber, so just because he used them as nut crackers does not mean that was what they were designed for.

He chose which of the 3 "holes" to use depending on the size and strength of the nut being cracked.

Naaah lads, that's a Birmingham Screwdriver innit?

The Americans referred to an adjustable spanner as an "English Key"

I dont know.

But what do we know?

They are shaped like pliers so probably for holding or squeezing something.

The holes in the grippy bit are serrated so possibly for turning something or stopping something turning.

The holes are the same size so I doubt they are for crimping. Only thing I can think of it to apply different amounts of pressure.

Unless there is an industry that needs three strands to be held apart and stopped from twisting....... Pre insulation days.....

My guess is some kind of electricians tool.

Probably best just used as a nut cracker so Dave wins

Did he recently sell a box of tools for £1?

Just an retired engineer and walking encyclopedia of tools.
