  1. Will have a butchers👍
  2. It's a large old victorian house. One boiler does upstairs radiator and bottom coil in UVC and the other does the downstairs rads and the top coil of UVC (back up). Probably could of gotten away with 2x18kw. It's just they have been shafted with poor trades and botched jobs. Just trying to help them out.
  3. There is a new electric cable and consumer unit installed in garage for future charging a electric car.
  4. The original plan was to just take a feed of at the meter but the heating guy said they couldn't as it already supplies 2x 24kw boilers. The gas pipe was run in to the garage from the main house under the expensive new resin bound driveway. Would be a major operation to add in a extra flow and return. They priced to increase the gas pipe into the existing meter. The whole job is a cluster fxxk. I was looking at that heatrea sadia amptec 4 ufh model. Ps I'm not doing the job my tools are long sold and it's over 400 miles from where i live
  5. It's a loft of a garage that's being converted to a office. There's already wet UFH installed, they where hoping/planning to get a gas feed from main house but no extra capacity in existing gas supply. To upgrade gas supply was mega money.
  6. First thoughts was one of those heatrae sadia amptec things.
  7. Help, im being asked to help out a member of family's problem... Long story short (no ashp, gas or oil) but looking for a electric boiler to run approx 40m2 of wet UFH no DHW. Current building regs so not much insulation. What's options on/ recommendations on electric boilers @Nickfromwales
  8. Would the starlink satellite (£440) dish be vat refund on new build?
  9. Yeah used them a few times. Needed a few bits to finish a job but shocked how much price has went up since last used them 3 years ago. Just the joys.
  10. Has anybody any idea when the next diy kitchen sale is.
  11. I was in the trade and I still bought offcuts of uponor mlcp of fleebay. Roughly £1 per m. Saved a fortune. Note I do have a crimping tool but there is mlcp push fit fittings but I don't have 1st hand knowledge of these.
  12. Mlcp (prefer uponor brand) . Press fit fittings.
  13. Gas pipe being upgraded at the moment so earth will be run in.
  14. Speaking to a sparkie about letting out a house and he says I need to upgrade the CU to a metal one (he hasn't seen the CU it was just over the phone) @ProDave
  15. We layed 1000x1000x6mm on ditra matting/ raft slab. 100% 2 man job. Still got a bathroom with 1200x1200 to do. What's this leveling system you talk about?
  16. Picked up a pair off fleabay. Blum 60kg. If they work will hunt for a 2nd pair for under the other machine.
  17. I am having trouble sourcing a runner for a pull out shelf for a laundry basket in utility. Needs a decent rated kg capacity. Shelf will be solid oak worktop. There will be a door face added on to it similar to pic below. Units are diy kitchens
  18. 1st day is theroy, 2nd day practical laying 30m2.
  19. Cheers Ian, it's took a big jump since we diy our raft slab. Starting to research for next build. Looks like going to have to save the pennies!
  20. Has anybody used spyder tie concrete forming system? I have a small retaining wall in garden for patio area and would be nice to throw in a few curves. I came across this a few years ago and considered it for new build but with no uk approval we ended up using nudara icf (big fan, will be using it again for next build) . Thought this could be a nice solution and throw on some krend and would ba start of a nice patio/bbq area. Could not justify taking in a concrete pump for this size of job but has anybody had any luck swinging a concrete hopper 500l on the back of a old jcb 3cx?
  21. Parents laid a printed concrete driveway in the early 90's so it approx 30 years old. It in amongst trees so there's a bit of roots close/underneath. It has lasted brilliantly, no cracks and still looks decent/good. They where debating in doing a imprinted concrete again or a reisin bound driveway on newbuild (approx 600m2 driveway and patio) but my sister is having a few major problems with the reisin bound so have decided on imprinted concrete. I am going on a two day training course in October to way up the possibility of DIY. Looking at a cobble effect for the driveway and a large tile effect for the patio * see picture below
  22. What's a m2 of eps300, 100mm thick going in today's market?
  23. Has anybody had any luck with the frosted glass film? Having a problem getting doors for guest ensuite and dressing room they have been discontinued. I can get them in glass version though. Would also use it on the garage window just for a bit more privacy .
