  1. Yeah but the lumpy stone has edpm over it . Is it ‘safe’ to cut the lump and edpm out at that point then patch later ?
  2. Mission received and understood! ?
  3. Are you suggesting no flashing just magic CT1 smeared over the edges ? . Never used CT1 - and before there’s a panic I am doing to the flashing !!
  4. Yeah 150mm is up at the edges . Problem is it’s just glued to the rough stone work with living accommodation below . So in time , water runs down stone and behind edpm - hence the flashing . I also think the tradesmen was less concerned as concrete is to be poured over the edpm as well . But this will shrink and I suspect a hairline crack at the edges .
  5. No the solid strip as Peter said
  6. Huff ! I’ve just ordered the metal flashing !
  7. Me too it would seem So what do I do when a lump of stone with edpm on it sticks out too much ? . Cut the stone face ? Or just let the flashing ‘drift’ out ( won’t be tight to the stone then )
  8. The company was called “fix it” more like bodge it . Even gave me a receipt and circled the “10 workmanship guarantee “ bit ? Like I said elsewhere ; they actually think they’ve done a good job ?
  9. You sure YOU didn’t do my roof ? looks like your handy work ...
  10. Couldn’t agree more . I could of ( indeed would of ) done a better job . Anyway ; flashing ordered - let’s see if I can turn a crap job into a reasonable one ?
  11. You are doing good today!!!
  12. Yeah probably! Funnily by pure chance a builder was nearby on a different job; got him to take a look. He just said "Bodge" , "That'll leak mate; you need flashing"
  13. He had cables crossing cables. Like an X !!!!!!!
  14. I paid them , to get rid of them I’m about to order the flashing , will install myself .
  15. Yep They’ve used it for sealing when it shouldn’t be - hence why flashing required They genuinely think they’ve done a good job !!
  16. https://www.drainagesuperstore.co.uk/product/water-cut-off-mastic-for-classicbond-and-firestone.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIypfc3-O52wIVFfhRCh0dBgbnEAQYASABEgJEa_D_BwE the ‘please note’ is interesting ffs !
  17. They filled the ‘gaps’ with
  18. Guys are here now - adamant that flashing not required . “Going to fill the gaps on the stone wall with liquid plastic “ Probably would be fine ; probably . Will order flashing today once they’ve gone . The flashing won’t be visible as block paving goes over all this .
  19. Do you know - that’s exactly it Im sure these guys / clowns think they’ve done a top job . I assume they’ll do a better job than me simply because I’ve not done it before . Waiting for them to return and ‘finish ‘ Will mention the lack of flashing , but they won’t fix it . Would I want them too anyway ? , no .
  20. So @PeterW is the main issue still the flashing ( or lack of ) ?
  21. Here’s a better photo of the front which I guess is ok
  22. More photos of joy so in the corners do I try to overlap the metal flashing Also the front section ‘under’ the house ; presumably no flashing required there ??
  23. Banned from my local ; can’t think why .....
  24. So @PeterW are you immortal? Can you see my destiny and fate ? TBH ; I can see most of it ? This place is like the pub without the pub
