  1. The thing is a 110mm is nice and solid . Rain pipe 68mm quite flimsy . Unless of course you can get a 68mm below ground drain pipe - that would help ! Found pavers the wife likes that are 55mm ( hurray ) but £120 a sq metre ?
  2. Joining 2 4m lengths on your own not fun ! But done !!
  3. It’s about 5 x 7 m Thing is I’ve got to put 90mm block paving on that - which obviously won’t fit . So will need to trim them anyway ......
  4. Oh dear ! might have an issue here depth somewhat restricted ?
  5. Ok ! magically I choose buy pure bad luck the hottest day of the year to pour . This is just a slab of 75mm to spread load for car parking . Should I mix a cement slurry to go over the cracks ? Pva ? Or just leave ?? ta
  6. Yeah. tried all this - they weren't interested. My original deal was for them to redo at cost price. Then they aren't out of pocket and the onus is on me to sell on the incorrect glass. They didn't seem to care!
  7. Mediation set for 10am Wednesday. Apparently I just talk to mediator who in turn talks to glazier . As far as I am aware the mediator has no diagrams or anything ? I have to “compromise “ so I’ve been told . How ? ; they’ve had all my money ?!!!! Obviously any concession I’ll consider but assume it will be a waste of time . Anyway , will wait and see ........

  10. Credit where credit is due ! Still think you got a professional plasterer in to do it ! - that’s what i’d do and claim I did it ??
  11. Hey all I know you are meant to have the final floor level 150mm below DPC But my DPC ‘wall’ is just an external leaf tied to the timber frame . On that basis is it ‘less important ‘ to maintain that 150mm distance ? My issue is the front pavers will be just 20mm short of the entrance threshold to keep architect happy . But on the side - keeping pavers at the same level means maybe only 30mm below DPC. Block work as I have said is really just a weather screen .....
  12. When expanding foam first came out I decided to fill a large hole with it . Needlless to say I squirted almost the entire canister in there .... As it spewed out like an alien I didn’t want it all over the floor . So naturally/ stupidly I grabbed it and pushed it with my bare hands ? I think to this day my hands are still ‘crunchy’ ...
  13. Oh it must be true then . I thought you were bailing on the plastering ?
  14. But @Onoff are you going to let tiny germs stop you ? No ! You are not - skim away !!!
