  1. Would the anti vac on the basin solve the issue though even if the vent pipe is blocked further up ?
  2. Oh I see ! not sure how it got blocked then ! No nothing coming out the roof - so no idea where it runs .
  3. ????? buildings insurance
  4. So anti vac trap first and see what happens??
  5. Not on insurance. Assuming ground floor permits me access I could just get it jetted anyway ? But as I don't know if there is a blockage more tempted to fit the anti vac first. I'm not too worried if it is blocked/blocking as ground floor will experience any ?first!
  6. Why's this bad @Nickfromwales ?
  7. Oh just guessing.... ?
  8. It's tricky. As I have no access to any drains; all in ground floor flat. Those tenants aren't particularly co-operative. I could fit an anti vac anyway?????
  9. Hey No just 2 flats. So the vertical soil stack goes up into the 1st floor flat then into the loft space (no idea what's ontop of it) - the hatch is tiny; I can't fit in it! I've googled an "anti vac trap" on the basin might work..... Ground floor flat (which I don't own) appears to have no issues so I've been *told* (not witnessed)
  10. Ah bum ! sysop please move to correct forum ! Fool me !?
  11. Hey all Got a 1st floor flat where suddenly flushing the toilet causes massive gurgles back up the bath . Chucked an entire bucket full of water down toilet - went down pretty quick ( so not blocked ???? ) - bath gurgles like a child being throttled . Blockage or vacuum issue ? cheers

  13. Hey I don’t mean how they get into the build . I mean once in the build . Do I have one corner where I run all the mvhr ducting , electrics , cat5 , hep20 pipes etc ??
  14. Hey all I’m nearing the point where I need to think about the routes mvhr ducting , water supplies , electrics etc . need to run . Is it best just to pick a corner in a room ; cut through the flooring and use that one route at the point for everything to run ?? Or is there a more methodical route ??
  15. Cedral is expensive- and can be time consuming to install ( especially on your own ). That price seems well over the top !!
  16. Yep underground just wondering how to get it all shiny and looking pristine....
  17. Whole site is already on slight slope ...
  18. Lol ! Almost answer myself Found a company that will supply machine cut 20 mm x 20 mm squares . I could just stick these on the corners . So ! corners to cover poor mitring trim to cover poor block cutting SKILLS ! ?
  19. Oh ! There is a ‘silver’ ct1 - anyone got any ? I.e how much of a match is it ???
  20. Oh yeah Window glass does not have silicon insert . So ignore that ; and the fact it’s filth and raining ☔️
  21. Hey people ! Googled this but a mix of answers ! To hide my poorly cut blocks ? ; I decided to put a gal steel frame around it . Looks much better . But how do I clean it ? Also as my skills do not permit mm perfect mitre cuts any suggestions on how to ‘hide’ the corners ? . Can you get ct1 in metallic silver ? ??
  22. Not again @Onoff !!!!!!
  23. Oh yeah . If you meet planners again * always * discreetly record the conversation. Good way to make knives ....
  24. Planning is a pile of shit . Half ‘plans’ , half politics . We experience about 5 refused ; lost 3 appeals . But I never gave up . I’m not familiar with your exact application but you might want to try the ‘wratchet’ Approach . Just get ‘bits’ passed as you go - then hit them with it . Admittedly this takes time ( years ) and costs a bit . Trust your own judgement....
