  1. Could do . It would look well tacky and crap .
  2. Tempted to put loft hatch in bedroom entrance as ladder could run into the ensuite . Avoids ‘fear’ of cutting joists ...
  3. Erm . Not 100% sure what you mean . I’m weary of electrics and structural things . Drawing of what I have Drawing of ‘my plan ‘
  4. Yeah I tried that . My jousts are about 10cm past the door way so won’t fit .

    Air brick

    Job done
  6. See . Now I thought that . But I’m scared to cut a structural joist .... Assumed it was a bad plan ...
  7. I assumed a loft hatch with an attached loft ladder would make access easier for me . Problem is my hallway is 1.2m and joists run across it approx 57cm wide. ( so I can’t run it length ways down the hall ) My concern is a ladder won’t come fully down without hitting the wall . I’ve looked at the concertina ones ; can’t workout with the ladder extended how far it goes past the edge of the opening I.e will it hit the wall ? Anyone got one ?
  8. Mental or sheer brilliance!!? !
  9. ? Its now cleaner than a babies bum !
  10. Ok . It’s not a water tight seal ( lifted drain further down the line and there is a slight trickle ) . It’s a ‘partial’ test . No indication of any leaks in underground bunker
  11. I think the meter readings suggest what you expect . No button press 10.5v ish pressed 0v ? So the sensor is wired to 5v - the in1 binary is set on gnd . Are all the gnds to the same gnd ? I.e all tied together . I know it’s a stupid question ?
  12. Because I want a water tight seal and I love expanding foam ! ?
  13. Blocked drain . Just need foam to set then will half fill . Opted for water in the end not wine ?
  14. Actually perhaps I should fill the pipe with WINE! ?

    Air brick

As I have to run my ‘air brick ‘ via a duct to the underground ceiling was thinking of placing it here . Will it look ‘odd’ being so low ? . Admittedly I choose a ‘look at me’ cone for it rather than a cheap white plastic grill .
  16. Think I’ll add a few more straps !
  17. Hmmmm I reckon maybe 60kg https://www.inchcalculator.com/pipe-volume-calculator/
  18. Yeah I was wondering that ! . Might just half fill it ......
  19. Ensuite sink and bathroom sink & bath wastes connected to main pipe . Black tiger seal on white pipe a bit messy ? Monday when this is all set will block the drain outside and fill up the entire pipe with water ; then leave overnight to test for leaks . Added a few more metal support straps also .
  20. No ambition ! Human pushes door bell . ip cameras records said human activity and stores that as a seperate movie . Ipad screen downstairs then shows video of person at the door . Underground dwelling human then if they wish can press icon on iPad screen to unlock door or not . If said underground dwelling human isn’t actually in the house his phone shows up camera of potential imposter . Unlock door remotely or ignore ? Why make things hard ? HA !!!
  21. I got it working ! Sensor will never change state BUT ! when the button is pressed and creates an open circuit it also causes the sensor to send it’s status . Though it’s status never changes I can act on the fact it’s status was sent I.e status is only sent on button press !
  22. Hang on ! That doesn’t make sense - erm ?
  23. The more I think about this the more I don’t think it will work how I want . I *think* I need to alter the actual doorbell button . It’s powered for its Led ; when pressed I assume makes an open circuit - which the sensor needs . But then the sensor isn’t powered ? Maybe .... Back to 2 psu’s ? . One so sensor constantly powered . Then sensor in1 just gets connected to door button gnd .Other for door button so it can go ‘open’ on being pressed ? I’ve confused myself again !
