  1. Fiddly door return tiles done . Few mm out at the top - but I’ll just over grout to hide that .I have to say it’s all looking pretty good . Been also cleaning out the tile gaps with the dremel ( reckon I’m good enough with that to be a dentist ) . So just wall pockets to do .Time to conquer the bathroom now ??
  2. This bottom tile seemed to have tipped . Came out surprisingly easy as adhesive not rock hard yet !
  3. I find that really risky . Because you can move or flick out a spacer . I do water brush down the faces and any ‘safe’ gaps . Will just dremel each line .
  4. Yes . Waiting for silver ct1 to arrive then will do them
  5. Not going to SWMBO wants biscuit - I think that means beige . I’d prefer grey
  6. Ensuite fully tiled now Now need SWMBO to choose grout colour ? Presume I need to clear out all tile gaps of adhesive
  7. Can’t . It’s a kerdi board premade thing . Slicing out the bottom shelf for maybe 4mm sounds risky to me . Probably just cut the trim back off so it can sit lower somehow
  8. Tricky tricky Rather than have the skinniest of tile under the top recess I let it go ? ( beneath dewalt torch ) So either cut trim back off so I can mount it lower or cut a skinny tile and have a grout line either end ? lesser of 2 evils ?
  9. B a s t a r d s ! This is MY bathroom thread ! - you lot got my brexit thread closed you (expletive deleted)s
  10. Oh f u k it ! I’ll just grout and silicone on top Mummies too angry now to listen
  11. Anyway ! Say I use Mapei silicone and grout of the same colour - do they *really* match ?
  12. Ok ok ok So why not ct1 then silicone just on the corner ? . My only point really is grout could crack ( though silicone will hold it in ) ; but ct1 won’t . Either way silicone is final layer . Mummy said she has a headache and you should (expletive deleted) off now .
  13. But ! I ct1 the gap on the opposing wall as instructed by you master . Just assumed doing the same on the opposite wall would make a nice ct1 ‘corner’ - bullet proof . Mummy said your tiling is crap
  14. Had no intention of using ct1 as final finish as I’ve said many times ? Surely I should clear ct1 that vertical line ( like on the opposing wall ) but concave; then do silicone ontop . Is that not better ? . Ct1 as real waterproofing . Silicone as nice visual colour 1st defence to water . Grout in corner allows for no flexibility. Surely you’ve finished grouting mummies bedroom by now ? ?
  15. Sure but no bt1 grey
  16. Hmmmm can’t seem to find bt1 grey . Planning on grey grout - might just ct1 grey ontop ....
  17. My plan was ct1 clear in the ‘gap’ then coloured silicone over it
  18. It’s only really 3mm or so But fill with ct1 then silicone on top ?
  19. So! I am now at this stage. For this corner return do I ct1 aswell then simply silicone up the corner on the ct1? - that it?
  20. 1000 years from now I will be worshipped as a God ??
  21. 1000 years from now . When you are all dead ( I’m still in cryogenic storage ) students will look back at this website to educate themselves on our primitive methods . Just wait until I thaw out !!! ????
  22. Stop spoiling my thread . Some poor newbie has read through all this valuable information and is now wondering wtf !!
  23. WELL! Maybe ! The issue then was the adhesive setting in 30 seconds!. I practised it and thought I had mastered the skill. But when it came to the real thing I failed. As W. Shakespeare also said " When the adhesive sets to quick a man will fail. When the adhesive sets just right a man will succeed " Believe it or not I've got an 'O' level in English literature . So naturally you can take my quotes as 100% accurate.
  24. Afraid you must wait until Monday ! Oi @Big Jimbo you said my soil pipe version 3 was amazing !!! ”A man that makes no mistakes is not a man . A man that makes mistakes is merely a man “ W. Shakespeare.
  25. Because small hands make other man parts look HUGE ?
