  1. Maybe ? Literally last week saw something like this . The guy was able to stand on a platform at the back and the bucket could be raised to empty into a skip . Depends on width and what turning space you need to get through your house .
  2. I find ice cold beer also helps .
  3. (expletive deleted) that ! . A digger would rip that up very quickly . It’s the labour of moving it all through the house . You and SWMBO make a great team 😊
  4. I’d say doable with lots of labour . Thick plastic sheets down then wheelbarrows through
  5. This is something I didn’t consider at the time - as there was no perceived need . Now though I would suggest it . Like everyone our ‘ground floor’ gets very hot especially as lots of glass facing south . Below ground always 3 degrees cooler . I just put fans in bedrooms - appreciate they don’t cool the air - but it’s acceptable. If these type of summers persist then simply portable ac in each room ( not the true vented ones though )
  6. You’re not scouring my sausage again!
  7. Buy one . Plug in your hot and cold dildos - see what happens
  8. What kind of bollock answer is that ! I simply took time to look at the instructions for you
  9. Undoubtedly! . But it was cheaper than a Shelly and zigbee thermometer. The fact it works for £17 is where I’m happy 😃
  10. 10A per plug I.e 10A for heating and 10A for cooling
  11. Quite possibly . Certainly taking ‘standard ‘ stereo music and upmixing it to dts / aura / x ( whatever ) can either make it sound a muddled mess or turn it into a stage performance with you on the stage
  12. Haven’t yet bothered with ceiling back boxes . I find Atmos speakers aren’t ‘obvious’ when they are used - as they are meant to be ambient . Was watching some Netflix crap which is atmos ; mainly dialogue not an ‘action’ movie - so in a way a bit pointless for Atmos . Anyway a particular scene happened where the talking characters walk outside to a thunder storm and rain. It sounded fantastic - could hear the rain coming from the ceiling ( yes @Onoff just like my house leaking ) .
  13. A few weeks ago I noticed my IT cupboard getting rather warm . So logically thought I’d be installing a fan in there and maybe a Shelly and zigbee temp sensor . Not a fan of Shelly based on my experience. Anyway link it all up to HA , easy !! Then I can across this - which I got on eBay for £17 . Chatgpt suggested this device which I’ve not heard of before ; inkbird ( funny name for a temp control unit ) It’s awesome ! . Dual plug outlets so one for a heating device and one for cooling . Temp sensor on a long flex . I think my expectation was “ typical Chinese shite “ - but it’s a cheaper solution not relying on HA . I use to trigger my fan
  14. But I like to fight / annoy the council for a bit …
  15. I think no one’s going to buy a house based on its epc being good . But ! More people are becoming aware of increasing costs of running a house . So at the end of the day a property with an A+ rating is a selling point . More buyers will be concerned about running costs and ethics . Another selling point can only ever be a bonus
  16. Such a wa*nker ! Showing off your photoshop skills . Anyway ! I could get a new full one done and get mine to 110
  17. You got a dungeon ?
  18. I know . But at some point when we sell our house I’ll add 50k on for the epc A premium 😊
  19. Governments been lobbied for some time to include batteries and ‘smart’ systems . A battery would reduce energy usage from the grid hence co2 . Essentially the epc system isn’t really fit for purpose as it’s so flawed even “ as is “ .
  20. Batteries can store solar or off peak then export . Do they ‘generate’ power no - but clearly they reduce running costs same as PV or indeed more insulation ; clearly beneficial . Epc has many flaws this is one of them
  21. I agree . I think what’s really bad is that batteries count as zero on an epc .
  22. I could actually improve it . I added an extra 25mm to the roof insulation ( it’s not shown on the sap ) . So I could get a new epc done and get a higher score - but not really worth it . I do like this also
  23. Well ! The systems unfair as ASHP , batteries , mvhr don’t count as renewables . So it’s just a 7.9kw pv array
