  1. Visually checked that silicone joint . It’s possible I think with a hose pipe on it - that water could still get in ( tiny gaps now filled ) .So I really need to flash / cover that entire corner some how I.e so the silicone is secondary to leak protection . Render boards nice and flat to fix to . Could just do an L piece off that and then silicone again against the stone ??? . Any better suggestions ?
  2. No understandy ! Idiot diagram please 😊
  3. Notice this asphalt joint ‘bows’ slightly if I push it . Perhaps that joint isn’t water tight ? just smear ebt on it ?
  4. Got a torch in there . I think I can see some of the asphalt is lifted in the corner . Just foam all along there ? - best option really I guess ! Some kind of deflector on that edge corner ??
  5. Endoscope no good here . Looks like water is bouncing upwards over that roofing lip . what do I do ? . Just foam fill ? Deflector of some sort ??
  6. No rain Saturday typically . So hosed the bollocks out that corner ! Made 1 drip inside . Took up the decking . Perhaps the water is hitting the steel work and bouncing upwards ? Other side of that white render board is wet …. At least I’m in the right area now !
  7. Could always lease an EV on a short contract ?
  8. I got ninja eyes .
  9. Boys ‘imprinting’ each other ; very homo funky . “ Let’s remove our tops “
  10. Found this old photo . Hard to tell zoomed in what’s going on - no idea if I left it like this or finished it somehow . Looks interesting at the bottom , can see plastic membrane and a hole ( ??? )
  11. Rain tomorrow. So a test of sorts . Sunny from Sunday for the week . So Sunday will hose that corner to bits .
  12. lol . That trunking is just the pv cable running down that side . Going a long the roof ( doesn’t penetrate it ) under the decking to the otherside of the build . But appreciate it looks like a potentially water filled pipe or something
  13. Well @Mr Punter you were right ; it won’t exactly form a neat job ! . But if it stops the leak cosmetics can be applied later I.e some trim over it . I’ll leave it until Sunday then will hose the hell out of that corner
  14. Gave up with the gap filler strip - no way it will stay in . So will foam then gouge it back once cured ready to fill properly tomorrow
  15. Did make me laugh this morning I think the wording goes “ I’ve got a massive hole that needs filling , I really need a big load “ ” get it from earth works “ I laughed anyway
  16. Couldn’t agree more ! I’m relatively confident that corner is the source of all my woes . Weather tomorrow looks ok - so might attempt the fix then
  17. I swear water has intelligence. It’s found new paths so it can find nice virgin parts of the kitchen ceiling to spoil . Everything has now arrived to attempt that corner fix outside - just need a dry day .
  18. I guess every year religiously ( or when the pump sounds a bit rough ) - I do this task .
  19. ???? The saniflo bs alarm I’ve removed from the unit . It buzzes even like this … Guess the pressure switch is stuck - will buy a new one to be safe .
  20. Ordered a new one . its only grey water so ….
  21. (expletive deleted)ing saniflo alarm won’t stop going off now even out of the unit . No reset button or anything .
  22. Seriously , no magic tip down sink , liquifies gloop then all good ?
  23. Tell you what cleaned it and back installed now - testing it First think I notice how much quieter it is and how short a time the pump runs to empty water …
  24. So a few days ago the saniflo high water alarm went off . Decided reluctantly to open it up and take a look ! (expletive deleted) me - like something from alien ! No wonder it’s struggling . This is from a sink / dishwasher and washing machine . We try to prevent food going down the sink . To avoid this again is there anything I can tip down the sink to basically clear all this gunk from building up ??
  25. Yeah . Washer was on - we have guests here . As I walked past the saniflo I heard the pump repeating many times ( sounded unusual ) . Then the audible noise of the high water alarm on the unit . No one else took any bloody notice ! Quickly turned the washer off . Pump ‘calmed down’ then emptied as normal . Turned washer back on - let it finish and drain - no issues with pump . Since then filled up the sink and let a load of cold water down to the saniflo , all fine . But ! As usual - one day it will die on me . Anyone with a saniflo please buy the high water alarm !!
