1 and half tubes of ct1 round the edges . I find if I wait 10 mins it will drop - so probably get another half a tube down there .

Just to help anyone else that has a real heavy tray and no friends . Scaff on the left to support steel bar . Noggins added into timber frame on the right to sit other end of steel bar on . Winch on steel bar . Hole made in marine ply wall so a timber could sit across from here to Scaff . This so when tray is high enough it can sit on timber . Dont really want the winch failing and tray landing on me . A messy , lots of work solution ? . Yes .

Why does everyone always want to rush tiling . That’s it for today on the tray . Tomorrow ct1 down the edges . Day after blue tanking stuff ( that needs 2 days to allow for drying ) . Then the ct1 ‘lip’ from wall to tray . Tiling is weeks away ! Chill peeps ; da Pocster is in de ‘Ouse .
