  1. Saga? - you've obviously been spared @Onoff 's biblical bathroom thread. We are only at 50 pages here. I think @Gav_P ; you need to read it and get caught up with true Saga's. ?

    Ah bum !

Just spoke to paint manufacturer . They reckon if I sand it back super gently and use a fine roller with a watery coat first ( and leave to dry ) - then go over it again I should be ok...... So ordered just a tester pot as that should be enough....

    Ah bum !

It will stick out like a sore thumb if I just paint it - as it will show texture if I’m not careful
  4. To summarise your response ; we are (expletive deleted)ed either way
  5. Sure thing. I was just checking it's all correct. Tiles not even stuck back on the wall yet....
  6. Right 2nd time ( hopefully ) ??
  7. Assume this is better . Nothing fixed yet . Guessing these geberit pipes go here ?

    Ah bum !

I know . I remember you saying this in another thread . I do like the smooth non textured finish though . But ‘patching’ it will be a dog unless I respray that tiny area - which I am prepared to do . It’s just the thought of cleaning the sprayer again ....

    Ah bum !

Waiting for someone to say that !

    Ah bum !

Nope . That’s why I said 50 quid for a tin in my sprayer . I can probably buy a tester pot and then try your fine roller approach .... Paint was a silk / vinyl ; moisture resistant type thing . The whole point of it being a ‘skin’ is to keep moisture out .

    Ah bum !

Or just fine mini roller and hope for the best ?

Tempted to pva the edges down . Only a small portion is exposed once I reset the beading . Then mask half the bathroom out . Spend 50 quid on the smallest paint quantity ( same brand obviously ) . Spray it for 10 seconds . Then 3 hours cleaning sprayer ??

It’s like a stretchy ‘plaster ‘ . Actually quite hard to tear . Well ! Apart from the bit I ripped off .
  14. Pocster

    Ah bum !

Because I ripped some beading off that had a line of Mastik stuck to the paint .

    Ah bum !

It doesn’t ‘tear’ its a ‘film’ . The larger bit I got off was surprisingly stretchy . Bathroom type ; moisture resistant paint not like emulsion ...

    Ah bum !

Fine sand paper removes the plaster bot the paint . Paint is a silk type Adair so like a ‘skin’ on the plaster

So just finely sand the torn paint back to good I.e stuck paint ? Then fine roller ? . I could set the sprayer up just for this bit if I really really have to !! Photo to help place issue

    Ah bum !

    Sand ? . You mean the paint edging ? . Shouldn’t I just stick that down ??
  19. Pocster

    Ah bum !

I was so careful had to remove some beading but took the paint off ? This was sprayed on . So what’s the best way to ‘fix’ this - so it looks perfect again. ? Worried if I brush or roller first will look wrong . PVA the edges of the torn paint layer down first ?? grrrrrrr
  20. Such is life . A sequence of errors with the occasional success .
  21. Yeah I was considering lining up the grout lines wall to floor . I was more worried if 2mm wasn’t wide enough I.e grout would fail - but it would seem with modern products it’s ok .
  22. Dirty bastards !
