  1. Nothing . Not a hint of dampness inside . Though I still need to allow a few hours . Assuming it’s dry there are 2 possibilities… It’s not leaking because the leak isn’t in this area I.e it’s to the left not the right OR <holds breath > the leak is fixed 🤯😲
  2. Ran that for 10 mins . what’s surprising is the little amount of water running over the pavers . It’s all vanished somewhere !!
  3. There was rain last night but I have no idea how much . No obvious leak . My new theory is …. This wall I hosed continually and kept away from the quoin near the gate . No leak . So I assumed wall not an issue . But ! . Water from under the gate run off is lower than the block paving so in theory could run under it ? . Hence hosing to the right - testing that .
  4. In theory they should says Google . I’m going to try one simple box over one and see if there’s any discernible difference to my limited ears
  5. Will I really tell the difference audibly ? . I suppose I could make 1 and try content with and without it installed I suppose . So just bolt a lined box over the speaker essentially?
  6. Yeah but it’s like 50 quid for 1 and I need 4 ! I’ll install as is . Then it can bug me “ would it better with an audio hood ? “ for a bit In this open plan room I’ve just counted 35 lights / sensors etc that are all holes in the ceiling 😊- so I take your point ; but I ain’t worried about that . The leak will put the fire out anyway 🙄😂.
  7. I did read that . I assumed they don’t actually output a lot in atmos ? . Beam and block above so not really worried about sound transfer. Did look at ‘official ‘ sound backing boxes - ridiculously expensive. Link to yours ? . Fire regs 😂 - off a (expletive deleted)ing speaker in an underground house 🤣🤣🤣🤣 - don’t think I’ll worry about that one . Back boxes though for better sound ….. yes please
  8. Yes . Something pretty much like that .
  9. In the ceiling 😊 They are much larger than I thought . Was going to cut strips of osb - stick a hole in it . Mount speakers to that . Then sit on the metal T bars that support my suspended ceiling . Cut tile to suit . They might vibrate on the T metal - will wait and see .
  10. Look what has arrived !!!
  11. We’re going to go on until I fix this - possibly thousands of pages …
  12. 1st coat done , will do 2nd later today tbh I’m even more sceptical this will fix it . Rain tomorrow so I’ll get a free test ! I do have a new theory on what might be going on , but I’ll keep that under wraps for the next episode!
  13. Hmmmmm . Had long light showers last night and it leaked . It’s concerning because that corner wouldn’t have pooled I don’t think and the concrete is right up to the roof edge . Though not bitumen painted wasn’t expecting that …..
  14. See @Nickfromwales I was being all grown up with no rude stuff then others spoil if for me 😢
  15. Done boss
  16. Had a few ( at swmbo’s request ) . Shite . Battery fails , lights not exactly illuminating the cupboard . If I really need to delve deep into the recesses I use my headband led light .
  17. next to the quoin you mean ? . Yeah I’ll rake that and bitumen paint into it
  18. Only if it works ! Starting to drizzle a bit so zero chance of floating any fall on it now
  19. Bit tricky . But I will bitumen paint up the wall and stone a bit . I’ll thicker paint at that junction also to create a slight fall .
  20. Agree . Thanks for calling my stonewalling historical 😊
  21. Cleaned it out . Didn’t need to go very deep until I hit some concrete ( presumably poured after the slab just to fill in the trench around it ) . That bit I painted bitumen on had some very loose stuff under the edge . Flipped that out and there is a potential gap there . So going to fill will concrete but keep it lower than the asphalt and then bitumen the lot tomorrow.
  22. I’m going to dig out that mot1 area infront and to the left and right a bit . Try to pull the membrane back a bit . Fill that with concrete . Then bitumen everything so the bit in blue will be concrete
