  1. Expanding foam is my favourite . You put a bit in , then wait . Not expanded enough . But I know it will , so wait . Ffs ! Not expanded enough so add more . 3 minutes later it’s 26,000 times its original size . Amazing stuff
  2. So basically it’s a mess and not neat at all . Thats acceptable then 👍
  3. I realised that after I posted and edited . I still think it’s too neat . Can you make some of the pipes a bit crooked . Perhaps some burn marks on the back of the unit from soldering . Its all the isolation valves being inline that really bugs me though I think the red one is a few mm lower than the rest ; so that’s ok
  4. What’s the white skinny vertical bit far right ??? Ah fridge / freezer water feed ! - to neat , bound to leak 🤔
  5. (expletive deleted)ing mess
  6. I have a box of nitre gloves with me when ever I sealant anything . If the nozzle drips too much or it just becomes messy I wipe it on the back of the glove . As soon as gloves become “ too messy “ - I throw them and put a new pair on . With gloves also can smear said sealant with finger - then bin gloves . The answer here is disposable gloves and use constantly . A ‘simple ‘ job might mean I easily get through 3 or 4 pairs - but almost never do I get the sealant everywhere .
  7. If this stuff stops it I’ll did out more block paving to concrete - as silicon silicate is not a permanent fix
  8. I also believe that when a planning officer gets overwhelmed by objections regardless of their view they push it to committee as it avoids any blame being placed on a single council employee. ( regardless of outcome )
  9. All the ones that haven’t died … yet …
  10. Yes and yes
  11. I win , I win - 33 neighbors objecting. In total they lodged around 120 objections
  12. Ordered this based off ChatGPT advice
  13. I looked at the price of Sika® Injection-101 RC for example … £800 for 20kg 🙄
  14. Yep - normal build stuff . I think we all wake at 3am and think about that 50 quid problem and / or that 100k problem .
  15. That’s a pretty good plan . What to use though ? . It’s got to be like piss to soak through the earth …
  16. At 3am I had a new plan enter my head . Got 2 300litre water butts out the front . Connect a hose to one and attenuate the flow so it gently empties into that concrete section above the paving . But dead slow so doesn’t overspill to the left nor right ( the lane ) . This can continue over a period of time until all 300litres has emptied . A slow but consistent test
  17. Ok boss
  18. (expletive deleted)ing decide quick though !
  19. Even though it still leaks I decided to put back the block pavers . Firstly they won’t fit I poured the concrete to high - not exactly thrilled about angle grinding them in half - any suggestions? Secondly clearing crap out the way I still have mot type chippings and loose ground potentially where water could get in … What to do ? . Remove another row of pavers ? ; concrete it ? - then fill with nice chippings ?? No idea of course if this is the place of water ingress . Dig up rest of lane edge and bitumen paint ? You decide reader !!
  20. Got the alarm type box - seems good . Tested with the pressure switch - think it will work . I soldered to the pressure switch and busted it 🙄 ; getting a new one and will crimp . Assume heat melted the diaphragm maybe ? Opened up the zigbee relay - no chance of soldering anything as microscopic. So will get a mains powered zigbee relay with dry contact support .
  21. Man , I need that invention now !
  22. I see your business is up and running
  23. Tried to specify the restrictions and issues further with chat . Went for this from Amazon so returnable ….
