It will via the battery. It's also limited by the battery output and storage, its not necessary a low power only output.

I know what you mean, Givenergy instructions give you the pros and cons. E.g. Doc also attached. EPS Configuration v2.pdf

Get a trade account with midsummer wholesale. Anyone can get that price.

Getting an MCS installed ASHP makes sense, BTW if you are rural you get 9k from the Scottish government. Solar panels, not so sure - its only 2500 back from the government. I paid (two weeks ago) 6700 Inc Vat, for a 7kWp array, givenergy 5kW gen 3 inverter, 9.5kWh battery, tigo optimisers for all panels (16-off) a solar iboost and buddy and all the rails and other stuff from midsummer wholesale. I can claim the VAT for it, so really £5583 for the system. Two days for the sparks (who are in the process of getting MCS approved). Say 6-700 quid. I'll have a fully installed system.

Vat reclaim time

When I started 3 years ago, that didn't exist. Had I known I would have. I'd pdf'd all the invoices (440 of them) and printed them off but had to remove some, then realised at the last second it could be done online. Doh. -
Vat reclaim time

Where I had a proforma I included evidence that was paid, usually in the form of order acknowledgment or similar. -
Ha Scottish...it was the architect who named it. Alternative would be boot room? It's basically the room where we take off shoes and hang jackets...

Vat reclaim time

By post yeah, but additional invoices will be done online. To be fair all my invoices were scans or digital receipts -
Just to let everyone know I'd sent my reclaim on 26th Jan. They called me two weeks after that to check something, then letter received on Thursday there confirming payout. Mine was quite a large claim £35k, they had taken £1k off but I discussed with them and will send an explanation to resolve - they also might take my PV solar invoice which I'm about to buy on Monday (thought I wasn't doing this for 6 months hence didn't include it) as additional invoice. I'll update on that, I'll also attach my excel which I used which should be helpful for others.

No, it draws heat from the UFH. I don't know either, but if it was working it would keep heating the water between my heat pump setting (52 degrees) and the stat on the immersor then turn off, but it doesn't seem that has been happening.

Immersor was turned on...but its faulty, sparks were here today and while waiting for my Shelly EM to arrive in the next few days we quickly checked the current draw, the immersor albeit for some reason isn't heating water, has been on for around two weeks, pulling 2.7kW the whole time. An expensive two weeks..but glad we found it quickly.

I qualified for the rural grant (I'm 20 mins from Glasgow) £9k grant for ASHP install, just been paid. Defo worth it. 1250 for PV Solar, 1250 for battery both grants available through HES. get it done, it will never be cheaper than to do it right now.

7kW ASHP unit. 80kWh energy yield delivered it said (that specific day was 70kWh power consumed for the whole house), the COP its showing is around 4.1 for heating but you have dhw at 3.5 COP (roughly 9kWh was dhw) so let's say it's all at 4 as a round number.
-
7kW unit, yesterday it said 80kW energy yield but I assume that is then divided by the COP. I can't be using 2kW every hour, I can't see it.
-
I think I'm going to order the shelly unit, I love the look of the open energy interface but it's 250 quid vs 80 and in reality I really only want to measure the main incomer and our ASHP. The reason I've picked this up now, as I done a meter reading g the other day and for the 80 days we averaged around 47kWh each day which seems ALOT? the other day we were 70 kWh for a day which seems madness! But my ASHP is a vaillant running a cop of 4.1 for the heating, 3.4 for the DHW so it's not that but I really have to figure out where the energy is going. We do have a borehole but can't imagine it's those pumps as they run for very short periods, there is a UV bulb which runs 24 hrs a day but even at that I can't imagine the bulb is larger than 40W at most. I'll likely now order a PV system and some batteries but that's the next thing on the list. Likely this be a Giv energy unit has anyone used that along with a Shelley?
-
The Vaillant Arotherm unit doesn't give you the COP? it only provides info on energy yield as a total, then it gives power consumption for heating and DHW, but you can only figure out an overall COP not individual. My COP was 2.74 last month. 1386kWh yield, 505 kWh power consumed. Seems like the COP isn't great. The WC I haven't messed with (largely as I don't know how) but it's fairly simple with no buffer, ASHP straight to the UFH which is a single zone.

It'll be fine..don't worry about.

Look for a wash off - also if they are an approved applicator for K rend their work will be warrantied. K rend will also tell you the required conditions if it was OK.
