All of the dormer cladding is now complete.... Looks very different colours depending on the light which I'm pleased with. Still nervous about the 1st being clad though and whether we have made the right decision!

Also read that, seems odd! All the usual suspects don't seem to carry 500 gauge /125mu polythene as a stock item which is surprising me.
-
Would this be a more suitable product - https://www.travisperkins.co.uk/Visqueen-Vapour-Check-Green-4m-x-50m-125mu/p/921089

Just checked my membrane is 250mu

No this is a first floor so just needed as a barrier. You are correct mine is thick which is definitely making it difficult. What is the minimum gauge you could use if not DPM?

Liquid screed

Hi all, writing this from site now as I'm wresting with laying polythene before installing my underfloor heating. I'm getting teasy with it as it's difficult to spread and get to lay completely flat, also hard to keep tight in to the corner from floor to wall. Does any of this matter too much? Is this a job where it's ok to be a bit more slap dash? I've looked at a few google images and there appears to be creases and rumples in other people's work. This is mine as of 30 seconds ago...

Garage Doors & Automation I used the Plymouth branch but they are dotted around the south west. https://www.garagedoors.uk.com/

First floor up will be clad, and it probably will be 6months + before the ground floor is rendered. What is it exactly that would have caused the staining? As it only seems to be on this balcony section not the rest of the house.

The chippy in the photo doing it is Scottish, and said exactly the same. Then grumbled something about the English under his breath ?

Here he is assisting with the wiring planning one evening. And then he is more than willing to assist with my Pasty in the site caravan. Hes also developed a fear of being in the back of the car with anything since a load of boxes toppled over as I went around a corner. Hence the expression when I put him in next to a ladder ??? Hes actually nearly 3! Golden retriever cross Springer Spaniel, which results in him just looking like a small retriever so everyone assumes he's a puppy.

Eurocell from a local supplier, Dales collection - The Wirksworth http://www.eurocell.co.uk/homeowners/upvc-doors/the-dales-collection-composite-doors Only cost £600 which I was happy with!

I have one of those, unfortunately it's at the 4 inches from the end of my bed in my teenage bedroom that I now share with my wife and dog! It makes BBC breakfast seem like virtual reality as its curved and about 3ft from my face, shame susanna Reid isnt on it any more ?

So I'm still here, plugging away. Apparently I have a roof that is constantly underestimated in terms of the amount of work required. Both chippies and roofers took weeks longer than expected. Still, all part of the fun! Since my last update the cut roof elements were completed, dormers etc. Tiling was completed this Monday. I've insulated the loft. Marley Cedral cladding has begun in the past couple days. Next steps are for fibreglass flat roof to hopefully be completed on the balcony on Monday, then rear bifold doors and front balcony Velfac sliding doors to be installed. I will then FINALLY be 100% watertight and ready to attack the inside in anger. Few photos of various bits and bobs below.

Western Power Distribution, I specifically asked the local scheduling guy what he needed in place ready to fit my cutout internally and he said nothing. They bring pre cut boards to fit in to built in meter cabinets and use the same ones to fit internally.
-
Don't know if this is where you are headed with this, however I recently had my electricity connection completed and they brought their own flame retardant board on which to fit the cutout. Apologies if if that is nothing to do with why you are asking ?

Thanks very much, ordered.

I've managed to borrow something pretty similar to this for the next few months to use as site lights, however no bulbs were included. Need bayonet fittings and ideally somewhere I can collect tomorrow as opposed to online. Im assuming I can't just slap in a standard 240v bulb? http://www.toolstation.com/shop/p58287?table=no

No standing charge electricity suppliers

I have eon fitting my electric meter on a Thursday, had the same thoughts regarding standing charges but just figured it was something I'd have to swallow. Is there any penalties for leaving eon within about 2 days of them paying for the meter installation? -
Some sort of air quality system I think, I once viewed a house that had one it. I questioned the estate agent and his answer was about as vague as mine is here. 13 is the quality of the air, its 1 better than 12 but not quite so good as 14 ?

Interested in them, if you are anywhere near Plymouth?

Onoff that's one I was looking at too, but then saw this one which specifically states it's PU - http://www.toolstation.com/shop/Adhesives+%26+Sealants/d180/Wood+Adhesive+%26+PVA/sd3198/Polyurethane+Wood+Adhesive+750g/p52489

Any chance you could post a link to the type of glue you are sugggesting? Google is offering me quite a range. I'm assuming you mean the same stuff my chippies have used to install my caberdek t&g flooring in the roof?
