  1. May have a problem in that the inlet and exhaust will be quite close to the ASHP, moreso the exhaust. The plan is to bring the vents out through the soffitt board but the ASHP will be under the exhaust vent. Any issues with this?

  3. Silly question, does the 2 represent 2 Plenum or is it 2 runs of pipe into one Plenum. Please see drawing below. Am gonna have a shot at this myself. The biggest issue I forsee is the positioning of the Plenum in the kitchen/living area. Will be unable to get the ones near the sink due to a false hip on the internal side of the roof.
  4. Lovely detail, wanted this but unfortunately are pitch was too shallow
  5. We do have a service cavity, its was just the lack of a plan on routing back to board. Have ordered sausages.
  6. Am not adverse to asking for the cables to be pulled and redone, though it was hard enough to get him to site in the first instance.
  7. I used a lot of sad emojis on your photo's due to the lack of a suitable fe**king mad as f*ck emoji . 😀
  8. Can definitely say I've been stressed today, have a hiatal hernia and felt like it was coming up through my throat earlier. Now, I have to take responsibility as was mentioned earlier, planning route of cables. We have ducts coming up through floor for outside services in the plant room, just never thought of the routing for sockets, switches etc. A valuable lesson learned, as was communicated to herself earlier, "will know for the next one", 😉
  9. Tasty, will order the sausage today, thanks lads. Will definitely be taking you up on the fan. It will be a massive help, much appreciated.
  10. To be honest I never thought through the wiring routes so buck stops with me at the end of the day. This morning I had a good look round and there were many accidental holes that need to be addressed. Place is like a golf course, Disappointed is an understatement. Just another job added to the ever increasing list.
  11. will post pics tomorrow when onsite, just after seeing an airtight gromit for multiple cables, but on the pricey side though pretty much like what you were suggesting redbeard. kaflex I think its called.
  12. So I failed to have a board in place with holes drilled to accommodate cables above membrane, spark punched a few holes big enough to run several cables through and ran in same. I've tried taping but due to spacing between cables cannot get a satisfactory seal. would low modulus silicone do or soudal airtight foam for windows/doors?
  13. Am curious, why is that?
  14. Have left the top of our cavity open. The dritherm will meet the blown cellouse(when I get around to pumping it) is this a no no? Engineer seemed happy.
  15. Does the condensate pipe need to be 40mm?, was thinking of using overflow pipe and chasing it into the wall in order to get it to a drain in our utility. Don't want to be boxing in. Would over flow pipe work?
  16. True story, will do it when we sort the windows, thanks.
  17. You used the white cement in the scratch coat too? What size chip did you go for Nod, it's a fine looking house.
