  1. Mbc will make a frame for you on site. However my water pipe is 32mm and it is in 68mm duct ( i am on my own borehole) We had to come from below the compacted stone layer to get a comfortable bend that allowed the MDPE pipe to move. I put it in the duct so i didn't need to struggle to get them through. I did this with power and hot and cold water to the kitchen island as well.
  2. I have a Hikvision that is a hybrid system. It will work with either POE ip cameras or the older analogue cameras. Takes two 4Tb hard drives for recording but can also use off site storage. Works with Apple and android for remote viewing and does all the alarms etc. You can mix and match the recorder with other cameras as long as they to a certain standard.
  3. I have found a supplier who will do a control down to 25 Deg. I am buying most of my equipment from Earthsave products in Wallingford and he showed me their mixer and it covers 25 deg to 60 deg http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Grundfos-Water-Underfloor-Heating-Manifold-Pump-mixing-valve-unit-/321839526455?hash=item4aef217237:g:KtIAAOSw4HVWDnQU This one states 35 deg but the can do a 25 deg version
  4. Been a bit less hectic this week. One team working on the roof. Scaffold went up Monday Hopefully will be felted and battened tomorrow
  5. I used gastite coil. It is set in the concrete slab which i understand is allowed . Comes in rolls and different diameters to match your supply needs. It is stainless steel in yellow plastic
  6. Do you actually have a vodafone signal. We are shown as a strong 4G signal but my wife's phone does not work well indoors. I am o2 and get a cracking signal indoors. Both transmitters are the same place so it must be something to do with the Vodafone signal.
  7. I am thinking the same as JSH. Also if you have a buffer tank that has a bypass fitted, you can divert any excess pv to the tank to preheat the water(after all the other items needing PV as my diverter has two outputs)
  8. Now i have a few days off from the build i am looking at the heating again. Those who have looked at cooling the slab, have you bypassed the buffer tank when cooling. Obviously this only applies to tanks where you are using the coil to preheat your incoming cold. I remember some time ago i was told (don't remember who told me) that cooling 70-90 lt buffer tank hits the cooling efficiency and to build a bypass into the system. Any thoughts or experience?
  9. Apparently i have the biggest one he has seen
  10. Ok we are in the middle of this process with the DNO. If grid connected then they may let you go over 16amps but it depends on the local network being able to cope. Also found out that as we have an array already i cannot claim any fit payments for the new array. If the DNO does not allow you to go over 16 amps you can fit an export limiter. They will want to verify that it is fitted and charge for the visit.
  11. Just had my mid build BC inspection. I do not need to box in the Beautiful 10m Glulam beams as only holding up roof saved me a bit of work
  12. Took some doing but got a pallet delivered. Brendan is going to brace the floor underneath for me as i have no Acrows on site. As i will be doing the boarding it means i have 72 less to lift up with my wife Thanks @Barney12 for the tip
  13. I wish i had thought of the plasterboard thing. Might see if i can get a load today
  14. Re the battens. I have been in contact with a couple of the technical departments for the different boards. They all ask that the timber is at least 75mm face and kiln dried and treated. I think it is to stop movement. They also only specify vertical battens with gaps rather than counter battened.
  15. Having read through the few replies I would say @JSHarris is the winner
  16. OK ground floor, first floor joist cassette, and two first floor panels. They started early as scaffold was not due to be erected till Monday and found it was so much easier they got on better than they thought and will be finished with the crane tomorrow.
  17. MBC just finished for the day. I'm off to the pub after such a stressful day watching. Will announce the winner after 3 or 4 pints of West Berks best
