vivienz
Super thick question for the day. Who usually puts guttering up? Would my roofer be able to do this, or do I get another trade for it? Thanks, chaps!
ultramods
For me in Aberdeenshire roofers didn't quote for doing this, plumbers did.

Mr Punter
I have used temporary downpipes to stop the walls getting soaked.

You can use a flexible (ie, film) plastic tubing for this. Cheap, but it can get shredded in windy weather.
Stones
Generally it's been the plumber (5 of our builds) but on our current house, the general builders did it.
Temp
We used a prime contractor and he employed two general builders. One mostly did foundations, bricklaying, roof tiling etc. The other did mostly woodwork, plumbing and insulation. There was a lot of overlap between these two and they put up our guttering together.
