That's the effect of the stiffeners!

It's supporting the gable end, timber frame and 4inch block, it's giving us an open plan kitchen dinner with no middle supporting post. The beam is 9.5 metre long by 612x304 sitting on two 120x120 each end.

How much for the crane hire?

Am thinking I'll buy one with my pension lump sum and earn 500 for one days work a week...it's my cunning plan for a fun and well bankrolled dotage?

I hope I can get a big yellow one for under £100k, good plan or what?

Sounds like a plan. Everyone round here seems to hire them from Ireland.
