ricardo100671 Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Any reason why I should not use 19mm over 25mm roofing battens for gapped rainsceen cladding - have a large project and every penny count. Some arguments have been about splitting during nailing, but if they are used for roofing, I can't see that it would be an issue. Also is the difference of 19 vto 25mm ventilation gap really that significant.
Russell griffiths Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago (edited) Far to thin, I have used them under my soffits where I needed to pack them down a bit, I would not use them on a facade. not enough meat for the screws to grab hold of. Edited 16 hours ago by Russell griffiths
gravelrash Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago are finances that tight? couple of pence per foot difference just not worth the fallout like re-fixing in a couple of years
