Mike Posted May 18 Posted May 18 A similar one I did a couple of decades ago in a slightly smaller space. Overall 1880 x 1920, with a 900 x 900 corner shower. It looks tight, but wasn't in practice.

Im not a fan of those rounded ones, think my gran had one so seems a bit old fashioned. The pentagon is interesting but ive no genuine experience of one. 1 hour ago, Mike said: 900 x 900 corner shower. thats the size ive had on the design. Maybe im better clearing the room, and then dragging things in similar size to see how it works. Nothing seems to really hit the spot. 1

Might require a bit of DIY or employing a carpenter but if you put the medicine cabinet to the side but the mirror front on sliding rails you could slide the mirror out to a central position for shaving/makeup/whatever when needed. Edit: Or the inside of the door to have a mirror on it too and 180o hinges. Edited May 18 by -rick-

Spinny Posted May 18 Posted May 18 I prefer the basin and toilet side by side with the toilet under the window and basin closer to the door. Seems to give a good clear shared area around washbasin and shower as you enter the room, aesthetically you then don't open the door to be presented with the toilet, mirror also available when you have stepped out of the shower. Can the shower go long enough to be a walk in ? Getting rid of those nooks on the end wall could lengthen the shower ? Does the window open to help release the methane ? Too many cooks probably. Love the renders - what are you using and does it take less than a huge number of hours to master ?

Works really well if your sketchup is decent to start with. There is a learning curve but i do it every day for work so its easy for myself. A few people at work couldnt get into it but its perfectly usable. It is license based though so it would cost ya. Well i gutted the room last night, literally nothing in it. Tried all of the above iterations and ended up back to my original idea. A square shower just doesnt work, its too close to the door when you enter. If the toilet is on the same wall as the sink you are sat literally face to face with a shower panel, so that wont work either. Having the window where it is and the fact it faces out to the street (corner plot) leaves my options very limited. The only thing that felt at least slightly right was the bog on the external wall at the back, a 1000x1000 pentagon shower (as it removes the front corner which is the problem) and the sink down this end. Super_Paulie Posted 11 hours ago Author Posted 11 hours ago (edited) Update to this. The missus tried a pentagon shower in the nearest bathroom store, hated it, even though she was insistent on it in theory. Back to the drawing board, so I'm looking at a 1000x800 rectangle Mira now, seems decent? Sick of my life with this, at least Sunderland got into Europe. Looking waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better, praise the fictional person in the sky.

That's the danger of your missus being an Instagram obsessive. These fancy things look good on paper but not in reality.

Great words, but probably your last ones............. If we don't hear from you ever again, it's been emotional. Social media is mostly folk living a plastic life, presented by liars or paid influencers who consume gullible folk to perpetuate their 'success'. Or 'tossers' as I call them. 1
torre Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago In real life don't put your toilet that close to the wall, next time you're sat on your throne enjoying a quiet moment of reflection pay attention to how much space you actually need at the side.

Think the AI moves things slightly. The toilet I guess needs to be centered to the window for aesthetic reasons, think it was more like 20cm away in reality.
