Weebles
Looking to cast a slab this weekend for a permanent electric kiosk to sit on. How does the hockey stick work if the kiosk is surface mounted? What size kiosk do you reckon? Does this look reasonable? https://www.meterboxesdirect.co.uk/electric-ip-43-rated-kiosk-750-500-300-mm.html Completely new to this sort of thing - anything else we need to think of when doing this? Thanks
Russell griffiths
Personally I would buy the kiosk first, so you have it sitting in front of you before you commit to a concrete slab with a hockey stick in the wrong location. You could measure it nicely and be spot on, but why take the chance.
Russell griffiths
We have this in our garden, it would be more costly to build than the pre formed version but has loads of space in it for future equipment. Just an idea if you have the space.
le-cerveau
Personally, I would build a little shed as @Russell griffiths did, and make it large enough for all utilities and your bis store @JSHarris did this i believe, it resolves all problems, saves re-connection fees and is future proof. We didn't, just a temporary kiosk and I regret it now as I am currently in the mire of Utilities re-connecting to the house from the kiosk (or road for GAS)
ToughButterCup
Have a look at the guidance given by your DNO online. Our DNO, was very helpful: detailed drawings and a dedicated helpline with a real person (Tracey, a very nice girl, very very nice girl) who knew what she was talking about.
