All the site towers are Boss

The diy ones are not suitable for building work There more for use pairing a window frame

I paid £700 for a 8m tower with wheels and outriggers

Lots of interchangeable bits out there on Market place

Easy to sell on once finished

Plenty for sale on the internet but a lot look quite flimsy.

Any recommendations on where to buy new.

Thanks

I brought a miniscaff tower direct from Lewis Scaffolding.

This was an investment for me, which I plan to keep long term.

You can buy up to a working height of 8 metres. Very easy to buy add-ons and accessories. This was important for me, because I wanted to understand how to use the tower before buying to the full height I required, which was 7 metres.

Strong, but light aluminium construction, quick delivery.

2nd for Lewis. Allthough I got the 3t industrial double. 8.8m working height.

it’s solid, even at height if erected correctly.

For me, same as Nick, this was an investment for ongoing maintenance etc. So bought new.

I bought Boss, but second hand from these guys: https://www.jeescaffoldtowers.co.uk/

A bit cheaper than Lewis new and way less than new Boss. Website isn't great, but the guys on the phone were excellent to deal with and the kit, while clearly used (i.e. covered in paint and plaster splashes) appears good and solid.

I bought a few of them steel rectangular, slot together jobbies of FB marketplace, not suitable in anyway shape or form for trade use, but for DIY use and hedge trimming up to about 2.5m platform height they are perfick! £200 or thereabouts  Easily create a platform long enough for a 3.9m board to span.  If you want to go any higher than that forget it get a proper one like those above!
