mjc55 Posted Saturday at 22:53 Posted Saturday at 22:53 Plenty for sale on the internet but a lot look quite flimsy. Any recommendations on where to buy new. Thanks
nod Posted Sunday at 05:16 Posted Sunday at 05:16 All the site towers are Boss The diy ones are not suitable for building work There more for use pairing a window frame I paid £700 for a 8m tower with wheels and outriggers Lots of interchangeable bits out there on Market place Easy to sell on once finished 1

Thanks I brought a miniscaff tower direct from Lewis Scaffolding. https://www.scaffold-tower.co.uk/product/trade-folding-towers/ This was an investment for me, which I plan to keep long term. You can buy up to a working height of 8 metres. Very easy to buy add-ons and accessories. This was important for me, because I wanted to understand how to use the tower before buying to the full height I required, which was 7 metres. Strong, but light aluminium construction, quick delivery. Edited Sunday at 07:16 by Nick Laslett 1
BadgerBodger Posted Sunday at 08:19 Posted Sunday at 08:19 (edited) 2nd for Lewis. Allthough I got the 3t industrial double. 8.8m working height. it’s solid, even at height if erected correctly. For me, same as Nick, this was an investment for ongoing maintenance etc. So bought new. Edited Sunday at 08:20 by BadgerBodger 1

I’ve already got a 4’ square one but that won’t work in our side alley as that’s only a meter wide. 1

Dunc Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago I bought Boss, but second hand from these guys: https://www.jeescaffoldtowers.co.uk/ A bit cheaper than Lewis new and way less than new Boss. Website isn't great, but the guys on the phone were excellent to deal with and the kit, while clearly used (i.e. covered in paint and plaster splashes) appears good and solid. 1
Bonner Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago I have a MiTower+, easy to errect and really stable. Got a used one from FB marketplace, should be able to sell for the same price I paid but can’t part with it! 1
crispy_wafer Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago I bought a few of them steel rectangular, slot together jobbies of FB marketplace, not suitable in anyway shape or form for trade use, but for DIY use and hedge trimming up to about 2.5m platform height they are perfick! £200 or thereabouts Easily create a platform long enough for a 3.9m board to span. If you want to go any higher than that forget it get a proper one like those above! 1
