Pocster Posted Wednesday at 14:46 Author Posted Wednesday at 14:46 OK! Back here again! So need to cool 2 bedrooms with AC. No floor standing shite. So I guess single contained units; 1 in each room no split system. Going to be a BASTARD to install i.e. to get the vent pipe through. (TWICE!) Am I allowed to vent into the loft? 🙃 has it GOT to be outdoors? Electrics ok to wire off either a plug or off an existing socket ring?. No chance getting wiring from AC back to CU.... I'm under SWMBO orders to investigate!
Mr Punter Posted Wednesday at 15:00 Posted Wednesday at 15:00 You may as well get someone to supply and fit, as you need to meet electrical and Fgas regs. They are probably busy now. Have a ring round in a week or two.
Pocster Posted Wednesday at 15:01 Author Posted Wednesday at 15:01 Water cooled air con? As far as I understand no vent through wall. Air con unit just needs pipe work to condensor unit. I could mount that under MVHR unit and share its drainage channel to outdoors???

Pocster Posted Wednesday at 15:22 Author Posted Wednesday at 15:22 But now I'm thinking... https://www.argos.co.uk/product/7623899?deeplink=true&gclsrc=aw.ds&&_$ja=tsid:11675|acid:542-316-8335|cid:6514064352|agid:76370554737|tid:kwl-3500001|crid:610242503975|nw:g|rnd:4608841013949138266|dvc:c|adp:|mt:a|loc:9045627&utm_source=Google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=6514064352&utm_term=&utm_content=text&utm_custom1=76370554737&utm_custom2=542-316-8335&cmpid=GG05X&GPDP=true&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=6514064352&gbraid=0AAAAAD9II9kB4EdwoWJiJtjRBVlI1afcv&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI4sjlieLZlAMVhotQBh3GDSczEAAYASAAEgKcafD_BwE £400 and make a 'panel' so the vent isnt just hanging out a window/sliding door.

For a minute I thought you'd uncovered a blinder of a solution. Well, maybe not quite as simple as hoped, unless you're happy to tap into your heating system. Have a look at the required schematic. Easier to go with the 2 hole versions probably.

My link is!. water in, electric in, drain out. Cost is upsetting though.... Looking back at cheap mobile units where you jsut sticka vent out the door and seal that gap up....

The screenshot is from the installation manual for that exact model - the Powrmatic Vision H20. I'm more inclined to believe the manufacturer than the salesman? Think about it. It's a bonkers idea that you just turn a mains tap on and then let it run into a drain? 1 hour ago, Pocster said: Cost is upsetting though Yes, the through wall ones can be had for about 1/2 that price.
