10 Year Warranty

Just had our warranty come through 

Less than half price of the one we purchased for our previous build 

Jus a bit of insurance should we want to sell at some stage 

 

In fairness They showed far more interest than Protec

I have the same provider, no idea if it will be any use but then the alternative was at least double the price without inspiring any more confidence.

 @nod your screenshot with PCC at the top suggests it's a Professional Consultant Certificate and not a Structural Warranty. The post linked below discussed the difference and that a PCC might not be accepted by a lender, which if it were true would make the house hard to sell. On the other hand, there are comments in that thread that some lenders don't require either. I'm sure you looked into this. What are your thoughts?

It is a Structual warranty But apparently covers glass stairs soundproofing etc etc None of them ever pay out

I thought pcc had to be issued by architect registered with RIBA for most mortgage lenders? That's what I've used previously

There all an expensive bit of paper 

Virtually every lenders accepts this one 

With the exception of HSBC

Our previous was for half a mil Which was far less than we sold the house Our buyers solicitors where more hung up over that

The professional requirements are listed under 6.7.4 here. But maybe the people CMLC sends out are members of one of these professional bodies?

I’ve not a lot of faith in any But we have a friend that’s manager at HSBC 

Who said it would satisfy the majority of lenders We where being quoted 4K 

£1500 doesn’t sting quite as much

Yeh it was ARB not riba I remembered. I did have the cml list printed off at one time with every lender and what they will accept. I've always gone pcc route never had an issue selling
