DownSouth Posted May 11 Posted May 11 This thing has been put in just 2m from the sewage treatment plant. It’s at the back of the garden ;about 10m from the patio) but is bright green and very visible. How have other people hidden theirs?
Thorfun Posted May 12 Posted May 12 Mine looks like this so isn’t so bad to look at! maybe they’ve changed the design of the external cabinet recently
crooksey Posted May 12 Posted May 12 Thorfun, your cabinet is an additional cost (that most go for). Cabinet placement is something that can make or break an installation. They can be moved (within reason) limited by distance from the tank etc. 2

Dunc Posted May 12 Posted May 12 My pump and control unit is buried near the tank. Not sure what the groundworker used, possilby a valve box or a ducting access box with a suitable pedestrian rated cover. Gravel in the bottom for drainage. I checked with Graff in case this buried option doesn't work out (I'm worried about moisture/flooding!). You can locate the pump up to 18m away from the tank and the unit should have been supplied with 20m of hose.
saveasteading Posted May 12 Posted May 12 It's for a wet purpose, I'd expect connections to be waterproof. I have only used Marsh, 3 times, and it goes in the tank and no box. Otherwise, as @Dunc suggests. A drain chamber former without the bottom would be easy.
DownSouth Posted May 12 Author Posted May 12 It’s already in, so moving it isn’t an option. Dalek here we come…. 1
MortarThePoint Posted Wednesday at 07:12 Posted Wednesday at 07:12 @DownSouth How have you found the One2Clean system? I am considering the 7PE (or 9PE for future proofing) for our build.
DownSouth Posted 20 hours ago Author Posted 20 hours ago @MortarThePoint (love the name!) I’m afraid it’s not yet commissioned, so can’t comment on how it’s working yet. Just realised my post was from way back in May - so now feeling that’s very slow going on our part. Hopefully another 2-3 months we’ll have it up and running and a toilet or two to flush.
flanagaj Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago A beehive sitting over the top would look quite neat. When your friends ask "What's that noise". You could reply "It's the bees" 😂
