Gone West Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 Is there a requirement for timber internal doors to be fitted in order to obtain a BC completion certificate? These are not fire doors.

These are not fire doors. Hi Peter - the short answer is to ask your BCO as they will have their own view. Part E (sound) may be a problem: Part L (thermal insulation) This would apply only to doors that open into unheated areas of the building so not likely you'd be wanting to leave those off.
ragg987 Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 At point of final inspection we had 2 internal doors not fitted. The doors were available and propped next to the doorways. Not a peep from BC.
RichS Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 A complete guess but if they're not fire doors I wouldn't think it matters.
AliG Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 I think it would be OK. The sound regs are weird. I have to buy special sound proof glass for a fixed glass wall between rooms as it has to meet the same requirement as a wall. Yet, if it was a glass door it would not have to meet any regs as doors let loads of noise through the frames.
