michael2424 Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 Hi, Im having a real issue getting this window to close as per the video. Any advice greatly appreciated as to how to fix this! Many Thanks
ProDave Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 Assuming you have more than one window from the same supplier, do the others work as expected? Compare "good" ones with this one, are any bits missing like wedges on either side of the frame to centre the casement in the frame as it closes?
Kelvin Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 I doubt it’s as simple as this but one of my windows was doing the same. Turned out to be the gasket which had come out of the rebate and was fouling the hinge.
gaz_moose Posted September 7, 2023 Posted September 7, 2023 id say the locking blocks need adjusting or the glass is heel and toe'd wrong. use a ruler/square to see if the sash is square. if its not take the glass out and fit it better by redoing the plastic packers.
dpmiller Posted September 7, 2023 Posted September 7, 2023 that opener looks mightly small for it's location, if it *can* move that far over?
craig Posted September 7, 2023 Posted September 7, 2023 Adjust the keeps/pins. It appears they aren’t engaging and the pin is hitting the keep and pushing the sash over. Who is the manufacturer? Check the maintenance book on how to adjust the window.
