richo106
Hi All I have got the fix the wall plate restraint straps to the fibolite blocks on my build Speaking to my builder they normally use 50mm screws (5mm) with brown plugs They said one per block is sufficient, so in this case 5 (attached pic) Is this OK? Is there better screws to use? etc Any advice welcome
Rob99
My builder used concrete screws - these https://www.screwfix.com/p/easydrive-tx-countersunk-concrete-screws-7-5-x-60mm-100-pack/3313h
joe90
Either will do in my opinion.
Mr Punter
Yes 50mm 5s are fine, as is one per block. Wall plate would have been better half lapped but it is done now.

PeterW
Pan head 80mm concrete screws drilled with a 5.5mm drill bit. Depends on the blocks you can sometimes drop to a 5mm bit as the screws bite better

Many Thanks They mean that the wall plate should have had a halving joint in it and not have 2 pieces butted up to each other.
