None of this looks right to me? Build Quality Issues

Just looks a bit shoddy for 'finished' are there suppose to be gaps around the windows like that? I don't think they are "shadow gaps" for design aesthetics. Won't the wind howl. Just looks unfinished/missing trim?

Hi @Saul

Photos a little further back will bring it more into context. Is there any sealant between the window frame and the brickwork?

Yes but recessed an inch so set back from window edge. Should it not be sealed flush to window frame?

Looks like Velfac / Ideal Combi type windows / doors.  Compriband type perimeter seal.  Is there any at the top?  Slip with a grinder scuffed the brickwork.  What did not look right to you?

Velfac yes. Not the grinder slip. Just the way they are sealed. I would expect it to be flush to window frame or look tidier. They're secure but look like they're just floating and not connected to brickwork. It's more about bad aesthetics and looking unfinished.

Velfac have a metal outer part which is in front of a timber inner part.  The weather seal is between the timber part and the structure.

Your last picture looks like a weep vent.  These are quite normal and can be needed wherever you have horizonal DPCs (e.g. over lintels) as internal dampness can collect on the DPC and this needs to allowed to run off though to the exterior.   The masonry bees also love them.  🤣

Looks like an expansion/movement gap. Required on long walls to meet building regs. Or could be where a wall meets the house. Looks fairly typical and hard to improve without making it stand out even more.
