Because my joinery skills are shit 😁 . I know I could buy cheap doors and get a joiner to install . Much prefer I feck it up myself and then fix . 2
Dave Jones Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 cheap 1/4" router and a jig. Can do the lot and its bang on. Trend sell the kits.
markc Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 Jig is easy to make, trend one is good but overkill. Look on youtube
Pocster Posted September 13, 2022 Author Posted September 13, 2022 No guys ! . Have you not learnt ! . It requires skill and time . Me not do . Me want easy option . Me want less work not more . 3
Pocster Posted September 13, 2022 Author Posted September 13, 2022 I know you want me to do the joinery myself . So you can post “ try a sharp chisel “ , “ did you hold the wrong end of the hammer “ , “ did you close your eyes rebating that hinge “ etc. etc. etc. Not doing it !
nod Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 Go into Benchmark and tell them Howdens have offered you a really good deal and they will beat it 1

Look on youtube agree, i made one for doing the latches out of 2 pieces of batten and an offcut of mdf. it sits tight to the floor so no measuring to get the latch routed at exactly the right height. can never have too many jigs really, from piloting for handles in kitchen to routing skirting to save time scribing (route the whole stack one after the other). A really good chippy to follow on utube is The Tall Carpenter, he has many many jigs to save himself time. Edited September 13, 2022 by Dave Jones
