Not the staple gun afaik, but if anyone's got one to get shot of we certainly could add it to the inventory. 

We have the pipe de-coiler so if that's of use please post here to reserve a loan slot.

Do you mind just clarifying - did you mean with the GRP coating (rather than foil) is it still possible with your hands and/or with the gun?

I don't think you will push them through the grp with your hand - never tried but grp is way tougher than the foil I guess.  Not sure whether the gun will push them in - perhaps hire one and try?

Actually, I found they pushed in easily enough, and I'm just doing it by hand, not with one of those tools. However, I am doing it by pushing the point in and tapping them very gently (barely any force needed) with a small rubber mallet as I found that just easier on the hands.  Did 2 loops of just under 100 metres each and pressure tested overnight. All fine.
