I keep staring at this picture:

That is the adjacent terrace's chimney stack. The stacks project into the rooms of these house. Wondering if this loft space actually oversails / projects into nextdoor....

Then what are those blocks resting on?

Blocks?

Edit: Sorry, you mean the Celcon. Good question.

But in these terraces you have a fireplace with an alcove either side.

I hope too they haven't taken the stacks out next door!

Those “celcon” must be resting on the party wall. Why are you worried they have removed the stacks? Have you decided on floor make up yet? When I did my own loft conversion several houses ago to minimise floor height with an additional floor with joists I did as below (I can’t match your computer aided drawing ?‍♂️) my ceiling was lathe and plaster so I put 1” packers  on the wall plate of the middle wall to rest the new joists on, then hang the other ends on joist hangers !

If the stacks project into the rooms and the blocks ARE on the party wall then the stack must be yours …. Or am I missing something

My stacks are the loft hatch side.

Almost as if that Celcon wall has been built too far to the left where I've shown the dotted lines.

T = top landing below my loft hatch:

I'll have to have a measure up!

It's not as far fetched as it sound if the previous owners of my place wanted to gain a crafty foot of loft space. Next store is a derelict shop, has been for umpteen years. Can't imagine the loft was ever used. Bear in mind all these lofts were connected when originally built in the 1860s.

The first one of these I bought years back, a kindly neighbour ran an extension lead from his place to mine via the loft hatches!

Don't know. I measured 3100mm wall to wall, think somewhere I have the room measurements I've suddenly remembered.

As an aside, not tempting fate but there's plenty of instances in this type of house where the stacks have been removed downstairs but left in the loft still. Scary!

Moving on...

To keep the new platform from bearing on the existing roof structure, I thought to maybe add a couple of extra beams parallel to the binders sat in joist hangers sat in the stacks/wall. Then fit cross beams between them. (All shown in yellow).

Then I thought maybe to bolt angles (yellow) to the opposing walls and run new beams (again yellow, only two shown) perpendicular to the existing ceiling rafters:

I'll likely go with the second option but rather than fit angles (heavy and cost), fit a timber, then joist hangers on that.

Someone elsewhere did suggest doing away with the angle or timber and fitting these directly to the end walls / stacks:

Not sure of my ability though to put these direct onto the brick/block (possibly loose) wall keeping them all dead level and not hit a mortar joint etc.

They also suggested using these to do it, which I've never used before:

Hence my favoured idea is a timber on the wall first with bolts into the wall to miss the hangers that get nailed to the timber.

Then to aim for this sort of structure adding timbers at the apex and new webs outside the platform area so I can get rid of the existing ones:
